Former #6 overall QB in the 2022 class. I'm interested in this one given his history and baggage.
Former #6 overall QB in the 2022 class. I'm interested in this one given his history and baggage.
Specifics, please.
He has as much baggage as a Kardashian on a month long European holiday. He had to have been humbled by being benched at Sacramento St. If he has hit bottom, left all the external influences behind and become dedicated to football, the talent is there. Big if though.
Let's see:
1) He's got the lawsuit against Napier and staff/boosters for allegedly promising NIL and not delivering. Very public shopping around and ugly situation between him and Miami and Florida.
2) Then he transfers to Georgia and doesn't play and make public comments about being more picky and selective going to play for a staff that knows how to use him.
There's more but his camp and all of his stuff was on public display at the beginning of NIL and the amount of money out there for him. It was handled poorly by a lot of folks. But he's been committed to Florida, Miami, Georgia, Arizona State, Sacramento State, and now us. He was benched at Sacramento State and for the #6 overall QB in a class from 4 years ago to have thrown just over 120 passes total in his career is a major problem.
Maybe he paid us to take him.
Maybe he has had an epiphany. Maybe his old leaf has been replaced with a new leaf.
The talent is there, maybe lebby can find a way to bring the best out of him.
If he has that epiphany and has his head on straight we might have one hell of a QB battle in the spring.
And MAYBE Margot Robbie is gonna call me back any day now and accept my $2.50 date proposal.
Iron sharpens iron. Fill up the QB room with competition and our new QB gurus and let them elevate each other. He1sman year incoming
Probably ends up starting most of next season
Has talent. If it doesnt work out? So be it
Some people asked where the $4 million we had waiting for Seaton went
Seems the natural opposite of Fernando Mendoza. Ying and Yang.
If he is walking On, great.
That first meltdown by a few posters in here to let him start when KT inevitably has a bad game is gonna hit like crack
If we gave him a penny more than a scholarship, fire everyone
1- Yes. It's true that he was committed to Miami. UF offered more money, and he agreed. Per the lawsuit, UF did not deliver. It's being called a bait and switch. He gave up money from Miami. What would you have done? So that is not "baggage".
2- Nope. He transferred to ASU where he was the 2023 starter before being injured(knee). He returned for the last game. Was still able to RS
3- Still at ASU and projected starter 2024, he had to have surgery on his throwing hand. That put him out until fall camp. He transferred instead.
4- 2024 was at UGA.. He was not the starter. And he moved on.
5- 2025. Sacramento State. Was the starter but sustained an injury and played in a limited capacity.
I don't consider that baggage. Do I think he is a starter? No. Do I think he can play? Yes. I have seen the videos of him at ASU. He can throw it.
As long as we didn't spend too much money on him, I don't see the harm in a lottery ticket like this. There's always the small chance he'll turn into the guy everyone thought he would be 3 years ago.
It'll be a real regs to riches story when he ends up reviving the Lebby program and will have fans glad handing him with 100's daily. good get
Well, we need some available QBs because unless our OL is greatly improved, based on what I saw in the bowl game, KT won't make it through half the season the way he is laying his body out there. He is not a very thick guy and needs to be taught how to slide.
O line will probably look like this-
LT Sneh
LG DJ Chester
C Boone
RG McVay
RT Steen
all are juniors or seniors and should grade out better than last years O line
This qb room has a lot of boom/bust potential.
Why do we seem drawn to babysitting projects.
