Chase Parham tweeted out Mississippi revenue numbers for 24-25 and it made me smile:
Football$28MM plus
MBB- -$900K
WBB- -$7.4MM
Beisball- $1.1MM
Softball- -$3.1MM
A. Baseball is now a moneymaker for SEC schools
B. Baseball literally paid for Men's BB
C. Women's sports are such a drain on the pocketbook

Seems SEC should make a Women's SEC that would limit travel to nothing. In micro conferences. Or make women's sports in the SEC as Division II.

Play home and away in the micro conference. No flights.
I can't wait for baseball tickets to go to actually worth to see what that number really should look like. When does that joke of pricing reset,2029? Maybe then people will actually have access to tickets without having to pay + $200 per seat per game plus fees. On seatgeek.

And that's nothing against you as I believe you go to the games but there are a lot of folks that just buy and resale them at crazy rates which is likely going to be even more now. Therefore what I'm saying is I have to break the bank to get chairbacks to take my family now, likely paying for half of someone season ticket in one weekend. I would much rather use that money and buy my own season tickets and be able to go to more games.Quote:

We could always do what UM did with their NEZ on the sides when sec season play starts but we won't. If it was football it wouldn't be a second thought.
What I'm saying is, the price goes up per season for a seat. The individual price for a game goes up. It's not going to make it easier or cheaper. The only people that benefit is the ones who go from the waiting list to the rightful owner of a seat.Quote:
