That wasn't just extremely embarrassing, his incompetence nearly killed our new quarterback, who hasn't had one iota of coaching whatsoever. I don't care if we can't get a decent coach again. Let's at least pretend to have some pride.

Yeah. It was bad. I can?t understand how you have an entire OL that just cannot block. I don?t understand how your offensive scheme is basically nothing. I mean, I couldn?t tell you what our scheme is.
Under Mullen we ran an offense that totally changed depending on QB and personnel.
Under Moorhead, it didn?t appear to have an identity.
Under Leach is was the air raid.
Under Lebby, what the 17 is it? I honestly do not understand it.
Every team in the SEC outside of Arkansas has an offense that is good at something. Not ours. We just have no idea.
Why don?t we have simple plays that is made to make the defense choose how to defend? For instance, defenses don?t have to cover our TE. We barely let him run routes. We never have RBs run to the edge. No idea what the hell we are doing.
Don?t get me started on the defense. They look to purposely not to fill holes at the point of attack. Case in point the last running TD by Wake. We literally dove out of the hole.
I mean, we have no offensive line. I don't think our fans understand that you can only mask that so much. We averaged 30 PPG and I think we had the most 40 yard+ passes in the SEC if I remember the stat correctly.
A lot of our fans thought that KT could make them look better because of his mobility. He may (or may not) have gotten sacked less than Shapen but his inaccuracy offsets any good that comes with that.
But you get what you pay for.
Same thing with the D-line. We had a DL coach who is past his prime and couldn't recruit and didn't like NIL. You can't have a coach like that in today's game.
I agree that a bad OL makes the entire offense look bad. It makes the RBs look bad. TE has to block, but he could chip and then run a route.
Mullen would have won 8 plus this bowl game with this team.
I think the most obvious sign Lebby is a dumbAss is he has not learned a single thing about clock management. I said the most obvious not just limited to that!
Agreed. Let's let Arnett take over and complete the burn down he started. And yes, this disaster started with him... we won 9 games in Leach's last season in '22.
All the money and whatever players we can buy won't fix a shit for brains HC. When we learn that after next year maybe things will get better. I have no doubt our talent will be better next year. I do doubt the results are much different tho.
This. Except MSU admin and boosters won’t learn. They will Jerry Jones it and go look for a deal. An unproven, unqualified, up and coming coach with little to no experience. We will suck for another 3 years. Rinse. Repeat. This is why fans won’t invest more…it will be mishandled funds
I think it's clear that Lebby is probably not the guy next December.
At least he's cheap.
Kevin Johns will help him to maybe survive. KT looked uncoached yesterday. Like he had no check downs and his only option was to sacrifice himself.
KT must take a huge jump in the upstairs department and State must bring in a credible QB who is capable of starting in addition to the roughly 30 portal guys who are SEC ready.........
If Lebby is determined to leave the lineman one on one the TE must be a focus. A TE is a Qb's outlet. We should grab the most athletic TE in the portal and do what Ole Miss did with Ingram. If you can't get 5 * star WR get a 4* TE and make easy throws and create favorable match ups outside.
TE is the most valued piece in my mind. Of course if one has a competent O line........
A TE could help the OL as well chipping the DE before going on their route. That split second chip block helps tremendously. It helps with blitzing, all world DE's, and of course terrible tackles which we've had too many of. We started the season using the TE in the middle of the field then progressed to splitting #8 outside. He refused to block and catch half of the time.
good analysis
Man, you are cool with me. we ain't gonna always agree but If KT is going to be what we all want, he needs 2 major things. 1 is a hands on QB coach daily to the point of almost face timing him 24-7 and 2 is a competent O line.......and a good TE to boot. Ha
