Barstool/Portnoy/BWalker
For those of you not on social media or not in tune with current Sports media, we are getting some amazing exposure this weekend. This may be the most positive sports media coverage we have gotten that I can remember. The amount of hospitality the el presidente has received from our administration and fans has been awesome. I honestly am amazed at how much positive media attention Brandon Walker has created for us as a university lately - I would have laughed at this thought 5 years ago but I'm proud that he is one of ours.
If you don't follow Dave Portnoy or don't like him because of some of his shticks, the man does amazing things for small businesses and communities, despite is brash persona. It's really cool to see him truely love his time here.

Some amazing exposure, indeed.
Except for the one asshole who yelled antisemite shit at Portnoy yesterday.

Yep, that was unfortunate and totally uncalled for. What an asshole.

To chime in a little more here, my kid made the pizza Portnoy rated yesterday, gave it a solid 7.2.

Man that's really cool!
I follow all of them on all platforms and State has got crazy exposure this weekend! It's awesome to see. Dave ranked us as his 4th best "underrated university" that he has been to. Maybe ranked us #1. Big Cat #10. We are currently all over Twitter from Barstool and SEC Nation. Also, Tebow said StarkVegas one if his favorite places to be. Now lets go beat Georgia!! HAIL STATE!!!

Well don't worry. That kid was arrested and charged this morning. I have a feeling he won't be a student by the end of the week, and he shouldn't be. No place for that.

I don't do all of the social media stuff so I didn't hear about this until after the baseball game Friday night. I was also told then that this part had already been taken care of.

It may have been. I don't know that part. I know there were rumors on Friday that high level administration was aware and was going to take necessary steps. That part just wasn't mentioned in the article that the Reflector posted.

Charges for what?
Exercising his right?
Kick him out of school, but there?s nothing to charge the guy with.

Disturbing the peace, which he did. He's lucky he didn't get charged with assault since he threw quarters at Portnoy.

He threw ****ing coins at him, dude. That's definitely NOT "exercising his right", lol.
Maybe "exorcising", but good luck arguing that in a MS court given our Catholic demographics..***

I watched video and all I heard was what he said. No one should be arrested for saying what he said. Mean, bad taste, yes but nothing else.
So, he threw quarters..
He?s an idiot, no doubt. Get him for disturbing the peace?.Slippery slope.

Actually sounds like it might be a hate crime

There's going to be a news piece on this. I assume, based off comments Dave has made (both in this preview, and his glowing praise of his experience during his visit, this case notwithstanding), this won't be a hit-piece on Starkville or MS, but more directed at the overflowing antisemitism that has obv (and unfortunately) found its way into our daily lives.

This was filmed before the stuff in Starkville. But I am sure that will now be mentioned.
