Week 10 Prediction Thread-Protect the Mashed Potatoes Edition

Well it took til yesterday but I have moved past the Texas game. It sucks but we can't worry about what's behind us anymore. What's in front of us is a very winnable SEC game. Look, this is not the Bobby Petrino of 15 years ago. He is not this dynamic coach with a scary offense. We run a better offense than them and have a better playcaller. I could see this going a couple of ways, and both ways have us winning. I could see it being a shootout where we just outscore them and I could see it being the opposite of the game in Starkville last year where we just blitzkrieg them and it is a blowout. I think it ends somewhere in the middle. This is just not a good Arkansas team outside of Taylen Green, who Auburn gave everyone the playbook on how to beat him, KEEP HIM IN THE POCKET. I also think our RBs will have BIG days. Fluff should be full go and I think he and Booth combine to go over 200 yds.

I predict a last minute collapse.

40-37 Ark, we lose another heartbreaker in OT. And no I haven't gotten past Texas game just like I haven't gotten past the Florida game, and the TN game, and the Egg bowl last year, and the one before that and the Bama game in '17. Pretty much I carry a lot of grudges and hate for other teams.....

We win the 1st three quarters and as per our pattern lose the 4th as "D" gets tired. Check out our points scored vs. points allowed in the 4th quarters of our SEC games. Hope I am wrong.

If Lebby has not lost this team we win big 51-24.

Everyone says their defense is atrocious. Again I don't see their offense as some juggernaut more than what we have played. That stadium is going to be half full if that.

At some point things click. I'm calling it to click this game. Once these boys learn to put four freaking quarters together I feel sorry for the team they do it against. Would be great for them to do it leading into Georgia. If they do our stadium will be packed and we will have a punchers chance.

Edit: Texas has a top 5 defense and we smoked them for 38 points. It's going to take a cluster for us to not score.

Texas has not given up 38 to anyone this season. Take out our game and they have only given up 72 points all year. And we scored 38 in three and a half quarters with a missed FG on a failed 4th down in their territory. That is a damn good defense and we scored with ease. If we have not given up, which we have not, we can pick the number this week. I think it has the potential to be our highest scoring game in the Lebby era.

Texas hasn't scored more than 23 vs a P4 team until last week. Ark is the best offense we've faced by far, so it goes both ways.

After seeing what Brenan Thompson said after the Texas loss I'm rolling with the Dogs 42-20.

I'm understandably worried about Green getting outside the pocket and rushing for 150+ against us. But if we keep him in the pocket and make him beat us with his arm, I think we roll. And I get Lebby wants his offense to work fast and throw the ball down field but I feel like we can run the ball against their D consistently which will open up the pass game.

I hope we win, just saying!

Cooler weather will probably calm down the scoring some. Massey and FPI have it ~60/40 ark. I think it's a td game either way... hopefully this is our week

They actually aren't by far anymore. Looks like they tumbled to #2 in sec only games after last week in total offense. Tenn is #1, so we've faced a better sec offense.

As you know, you can make stats say many things. We have been outscored 65-37 combined in the 4th quarter in our 4 SEC losses.

And it truly would have stayed that way if we didn't goof up on a roughing the passer 4th down call. We would have gotten to ball and scored there and broken their back.

Agreed. If we can only score 14 points against the worst D in the conference after scoring 38 against arguably a top 3 defense then I have serious questions on whether Lebby has lost this team.

The Arkansas offense is really good at moving the ball, the problem has been turnovers. So many games this year were lost by one possession after Arkansas was about to take the lead late and fumbled it away.

Durkin kept showing pressure pre-snap then they would bail out into a cover 2 look. It confused Green and caused him to throw picks or take too long in the pocket.
