If we host- insane crowd
I would love to break it against a team that isn't Ole Miss.
The band wagon for this team (if they start like I bet they will) will be off the chart.
We may have fans turned away this year.
This may not be a national title team but I don?t remember a team that I thought had this much talent on it and excitement surrounding it going into the season.
Still have to win games and stay healthy and ? but if it were easy, it would not be so satisfying to succeed.
I expect some huge crowds.
Hell, this may be the year I actually go to a baseball game at Dudy Nobel. Baseball was the only sport of which I was any good, until they started throwing those damn curve balls. Legally blind people have trouble picking those up!
I do know a former player or two. Well, their Dads anyway. I may just go with them to a game.

We better find a catcher before we start booking g flights to Omaha
17,500 if we are as good as we think we will be.
A long time ago two little old ladies used to sneak into the visitors dug out at the Dude and hide tea bags then they would place multiple 4leaf clover in our dugout.

They need to build bleachers. It blows my mind this isn't done. It won't be empty. Huge loss in revenue we could be making up since we're basically giving away tickets to the season ticket holder. They'll make their season payment just by selling one sec weekend.
We need to raise ticket prices
After reading this thread it seems like "we" and "they" have a lot to work on ***
I’m not saying we’ll do it this season, but I’ll bet that we are the first school to hit 20,000 in attendance for basebal by 2030.
This is the truth. We need to be charging 10x-15x what we are charging for the outfield rigs. Will it price out some people? Yep. But in the day and age of rev share and NIL you need to charge market value for premium seating and that is as premium as it gets. And trust me, those people will still figure out a way to pay it.
As for what the biggest crowd will be, probably around 16,500. The stadium has trouble holding anything over 14,500 and it being an enjoyable experience for people.
As a member of the middle class- I think 10K or under would be a fair price. 5K should be the minimum. Something like $7500 for the ones right behind the fence. $5K for the elevated ones in the back
Those areas- and I have friends that are members of these groups- have been far too cheap for too long
You don?t have to squeeze the fans and potentially damage the atmosphere to turn a non revenue sport into a revenue stream. The price should be raised on the outfield rigs but a 10x increase was a ridiculous statement by you.
The goal in baseball should be a net 0 with a championship caliber program.
I mean 10x on 4K is 40K. Most of these rigs have 10-15 people. That's not exactly breaking the bank tbh. Like I said, most of those people would find a way even if it was 100K. They'd have nothing to brag about on social media if they had to give up their spots.
I agree with everything that you are saying. And a lot of fans who keep spouting "baseball doesn't make money" need to understand all of this.
It's like when you buy a house it takes some time to pay it off. Except we're paying off the stadium I think in around what? 10 years or something like that. Whatever it is, it's a relatively short time for the size of the project.
I do agree with raising the prices some- but 10-15x the amount seems excessive to me too. Going up from 4K (I think that's what it is) to maybe 5K I think is reasonable. But from 4K to 40K is quite a jump.
