all you all can go suck it!
Hope you're right!
Interesting. And certainly possible.
No doubt possible, unlikely though. 3-1 to start the season and upset either Ark or Missouri on the road for 4-8, which will build a little hope for a bowl next year with a softer schedule. Beating ASU would be lagniappe. Starting 4-0 beating either Ark or Missouri and knocking off UM at home would be fire.
If we do start 4-0 we're beating Tennessee too. We go into Kyle Field 5-0 but we lose to A&M in a fairly close game.
Beating ASU and N. Illinois ain't no small feat. We do that and we will much better than expected. Good enough to beat Tennessee.
And I know it ain't much but Luginbill told Bo Bounds last week he thinks we are going to be a lot better this year and he thinks we go bowling. Take it for what it's worth.
Bowling is happening. Once this team wins and develops chemistry we'll be hard to beat.
If we get to 4-0.. IF. More than usual buy in and excitement from fans.. It's been since the COVID year that we have had that kind of excitement (short lived after we threw for 623 on LSU that year).
We are starving for some form of success.
Offensive line..any thoughts on how this group is coming along? These first 4 games important in helping get this o line's rotation established, early cohesiveness, ect. Also, the secondary...we shall see. Arizona State has the looks of a really good team. Battle tested heading into the Tennessee game. 4-0 possible but will need to come out the gates ballin.
I'll never forget there were NFL mock drafts the following Monday morning that had him as a Top 5 pick. I vividly remember being very concerned because while we had thrown for a ton of yds, Costello turned it over 3 times and they were in man the entire game. I knew teams would adjust and go zone. I just never thought the drop off would be that bad or that quick. I at least thought we'd beat Arky and UK.
It truly is remarkable. I didn't realize how big of a roller coaster ride it was. Jesus.
LSU - 623 YDS PASSING 2 INTS
ARKY - 313 YDS PASSING 3 INTS
KENTUCKY - 232 YDS PASSING 4 INTS
A & M - 219 YDS PASSING 1 INT (COSTELLO INJURED?, WR TAKES OVER)
BAMA LOL - 147 YDS PASSING 2 INTS (KJ STARTED - WR TOOK OVER AFTER 1-2 SERIES)
VANDY - 226 YDS PASSING 0 INT (BOUNCE BACK AGAINST VANDY!!!)
GEORGIA - 336 YDS PASSING 0 INT (WE SHOWED SOME GRIT)
OLE PISS - 440 YDS PASSING 0 INT
AUBURN - 221 YDS PASSING 2 INT (BACK TO THE BASICS)
MIZZOU - 295 YDS PASSING 1 INT
Had KJ and Kylin stayed healthy we'd have been really good. I still say had Kylin not gotten injured against Arkansas we would've won that game. Once we went to Will we were always going to be limited in the down the field shots. Will was a warrior and gave us everything he had, but he had limitations. KJ had a rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder. He just couldn't stay healthy.
