I know some are pissed that it is on a Thursday but I seriously doubt the crowd would be all that much better on a Friday. Most people travel in the summer, so that takes out a portion. Also, a lot of people do not want to have to go through driving all the way to Starkville for a 45 minute press conference only to turn around and have to drive right back home and not get back til 10 PM or later.
4500 is a home run , imo.
Hopefully it is that or more.
4500 would be incredible for a press conference on a Thursday night. But we have some people who think we are going to break attendance records at a press conference.Quote:

Correct. That VCU Regional atmosphere was electric and the attendance was not even a top 25 attendance. But 3 of the top 6 on the list had kind of a dead environment. Enthusiasm matters. I would put that Sunday game in 2021 against OM up against any environment ever and it's also not even in the Top 25.Quote:

Because it doesn’t matter. We needed it to hang our hat on before we had a national championship but we have one now. We don’t need records that only we talk about. Our fanbase is looked at as elite not because of an attendance record. It’s looked at as elite because we cared when no one else did and never stopped caring. We have a top 3 fanbase and it is not 3. We don’t need attendance records to show people how committed we are.Quote:

Yes we do. The more non state fans know how dedicated our fanbase is any sport the easier it will be for us to adapt to this new age of college athletics. Thinking like this will always hold us back. Other schools would brag the hell out of even the smallest accomplishments.Quote:
