Wooooot!!!
Great news
Good deal. Need another player
of course he is
That was ever a concern? Lol
He makes more here than pro ball.
He should play all 4 years at State before going to Israel or wherever to pay pro ball. He'll make alot more money
I live Hubbard because technically if he just wants to maximize revenue what he should do is Go to Kentucky
But he doesn?t.
State legend of he can get us to sweet 16.
He deserves a lot of praise.
Agree but we pay him pretty well. He could make a little more at some other places- but not a lot.
Josh will go down as one of my favorite bulldogs of all time.
Signs with OM out of HS, they fire Kermit, he ends up coming to us and then goes on to be a top scorer in the SEC that'll likely be here 4 years.
No he won't go pro, but he's a really fun college basketball player that is nationally known.
Bowers hardly played as a freshman though. Both as Sophs....
Ppg - Hubbard 18.9 to 10.6
Fg% - bowers .424 to .402
3% - bowers .368 to .345
Assists - Hubbard 3.1 to 1.5
TO - Hubbard 1.3 to 1.6
Steals - Hubbard 1.4 to 0.9
Rebs - bowers 2.8 to 2.1
Hopefully Hubbard has the same jumps soph to junior and junior to senior that bowers had
bowers didn't come in as a difference maker that hubbard did. but bowers could play defense and was the ultimate gamer.
Hubbard improved his offensive game alot by developing ways to score inside the 3 pt line.
He remains a defensive liability tho
Two totally different players who both play different games. Not a good comparison and to be honest we've never had a guy comparable to Hubbard
Darryl Wilson comes to mind
Josh has a career DBPM of -0.1 which means he's almost squarely average.
Williams stressed role players playing their role. you make a good point
