Mighty Mo is changing the Equation!
They take 2 from TAM! This is dropping AM's RPI by -14 points since Friday Morning. I guess losing to Mizzou is not that horrible

MSU leaps Troy in RPI
Might be in play for a low 2-Seed?
Maybe one of the most historic battleships in our great country's history that didn't even get to showcase her power because of the sneak attack! And Japan was one of the first countries the US defeated that US taxpayers had to pay to rebuild! I still hate whipping that ass and then putting it back in one piece! Just like Ole Miss in football. One of our worst coaches whipped that ass two years in a row, and in essence helped to rebuild their crappy program by forcing them to go out and hire Kiffin, who now owns OUR ass!
Florida is playing like a National seed these days. Someone is going to get a very bad paring with those guys.
#16 RPI but with a sub-500 SEC record.
There could be a few nasty SEC #2 seeds heading to Empty ACC stadiums
Florida still has a shot at hosting
RPI is up to 30...is MSU in #2 seed territory?
+2 after Thursdays win over Mizzou.
I would expect to be a 2 if we get to 15-15 and don't have a bad loss in Hoover.
Fla is pissing their pants this last weekend
Nasty Bunch up to 24 in RPI and they are about to beat Troy again tonight. They sweep Troy and the Nasty Bunch could easily host
Kentucky blows two 9th inning leads versus Vandy this week. Can't be helpful to MSUs RPI.
But they were also a last 4 In the Regional team. Brutal.
Unless their AD on the committee has major pull, Southern Miss will not host. Not with Coastal Carolina pretty much guaranteed to host from that conference. Likely host sites, in no particular order: Texas, LSU, Arkansas, North Carolina, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Coastal Carolina, Oregon, Oregon State, and TCU. The three remaining sites will come down to Alabama, Clemson, Ole Miss, NC State, West Virginia (fading hopes of hosting), and Dallas Baptist.
Looks like we are slotted to be either a 10, 11, or 12 seed in the tournament. RPI sits at 33 currently.
Being the 10 would get us South Carolina. You win that and you are playing a team like Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, or Bama in round 2.
Win those 2 and you probably get inside the Top 30 since these are at a neutral site and your next game is likely against a Top 10 RPI team.
11 seed, late game vs A&M, winner gets Auburn, winner gets LSU. I really like our chances.
And it could happen again is all I'm saying. Saw a projection today with Ga Tech hosting as the 14th seed with a 20 RPI. The Nasty Bunch is right there at 21 right now. Anything can happen with these committees and they arent going to give the SEC the 10 host spots it deserves. Coastal is already a lock to host.
USM AD is on the committee.
That's why ECU hosted over us last year.
As basedog said and I’ve been saying same never ever play USM in football or baseball. Especially playing any games at their place. STUPID! All it does is use us as a measuring stick for their programs. Yes we generally win but why risk it and promote their programs. Don’t give them the chance or the monies or prestige of playing us.
SEC deserves 8 hosts this year. Texas, Arkansas, UGA, LSU, Auburn, Bama, Vandy and Tenn. UF I could argue they came on strong late but they are fringe. OM and OU solid 2 seeds. State and UK as 3 seeds. ATM, USC and Mizzou better luck next year. This is of course unless one of the non 8 hosting makes a run in the sec tournament which could bump them up
Tenn has lost 5 SEC series in a row and are not hosting unless they get some wins in Hoover
