For those who still watch Womens basketball this is somewhat of a shocker. Surprised to see her transfer out.

Ouch
what will it cost to keep her?
I thought she was the second leading scorer on the team behind Jordan. She was 4th on the team with 8 ppg. I was shocked by that.
she feels she can make more elsewhere
Single digit scorer for most of her career. Not gonna be missed all that much
She?s supposed to be a strong leader, but she does not bring a lot on the court. She is a good shooter but that is it.
6'3" 40% three point shooter in the portal?
Jans better come talk to juwan woman? (there's a reverse joke here someone smarter than me can figure out.
Ole Miss
She was one of the top players out of Mississippi her senior year. At some point, we have to realize Vic not only brought in great players, he made them even better when he was here. Texas got immediately better when he got there. No need in hashing what ifs, but he did convince the best Mississippi player since Victoria Vivians to come play for him at Texas. Look what happened to all the star players sign his last year and Pinson's first year. They either fell off or transferred out. I'm not sure we didn't already have the right guy in place who replaced Pinson when she had to step down. The inability to get Kentucky's Coach to come home and coach his home state School still baffles me too. Something is amiss in our Athletics Department and Administration when it comes to sports. It's as if Leach's death affected the entire department and all major sports adversely! I don't believe Keenum and his staff are all onboard with the NIL thing either.
I will not miss Powe. Her only attribute was being a streaky 3 point shooter. She was too slow on defense and couldn't do much else on the court. Loyalty these days, suck, but won't miss her presence on the court.
Okot in the portal now. Looks like the team is tired of cheerleading and looking for some coaching and money too m sure.
Better start seeing a much improved football program with all the cuts to secondary sports
Freshman class is really good..led by Madison Francis from New York. Saw where she averaged somewhere around 33 points per game this past season. Also she made the USA Under18 National Team. Lampley is very highly rated as well. One or two of these could start if need be. At least one of them starts and the other gets good playing time..eventual starter at some point as well..season one or two. A third freshman out of Houston Texas is not as highly rated as these two but she's tall, long..very athletic and one of the top recruits coming out of Houston this class.
Jdelta I haven't seen you around in a while. I still remember you from SECFANATICS under a different name.
Yes, Sam does have a good High School class coming in, it's ranked top 10 but the transfer portal is where you rebuild fast in today's game, not high school players. Purcell has to hit the portal hard! He can't rely on Freshman, it's a new day
Hey NCMSTFAN...no doubt Purcell and staff are already hitting the portal hard, also checking out juco's and others...you definitely know your basketball (very knowledgeable poster) and true what you say about the changes regarding building teams year to year out of the transfer portal but still can't underestimate this level talent incoming freshmen class making a so called significant first season impact as well.
See where Destiney Mcphaul announced staying.
That makes sense. But since her announcement We also had our starting PG to transfer Denim Deshields and back up Center Nir Nir to transfer. We are down to 2 returners. This will be a total rebuild. Yes we have a pretty good Freshman class coming in but Purcell has to go get some big talent out of the Portal
Are they leaving because of the bars ? ***
Chandler Prater just announced she's back as well. So, a few staying...at this point it appears 3 retunees.
I thought athletes played for their scholarship? I just woke up from a nap.
