We're not far off in basketball. They lose a lot from this year but I assume Beard is staying. We have to keep Hubbard and Murphy and do well in the portal. Luckily we have some NIL for basketball.
Ole Miss has actually pulled some money from baseball because Carter realizes he has limited $$ and it's not worth it.

Football is what matters. Football is like 3/4 of the entire pie. Basketball is 3/16. Every other sport is 1/16 of the pie.

Basketball was a wash as we swept them but they were able to advance farther in the Tourney
Baseball was a wash. We won the series vs them and both of us eliminated in a Regional Final.

The two schools have flipped back and forth for years and it will continue to be that way.
The gap in football is closing.
Their schedule is easier but that flips in 2026.
Thanksgiving will be competitive again this year. Closer than 2024.
