DJ was projected as a 1st rounder this year, he would be a solid 1st rounder next year. Hopefully Lemons can help show that DJ would have better lineup protection next year. Plus, MSU would be top-10 with him in the lineup. Big Junior years did wonders for Cristian Moore and Braden Montgomery. Just cause you are draft eligible, does not mean you should take this deal.
McCarthys numbers from last year (1st year at a real program, 4th year in college): .291 avg, .485 slg, .383 OBP, 8 homers.
Jordans numbers: .354 avg, .671 SLG, .459 OBP, 20 homers.
Hujsak: .325 avg, .555 SLG, .413 OBP, 9 homers.
So I'd say McCarthy has a good shot to take another step and be close to Hujsak.
Who replaces Jordan? I've not kept up with the Portal too closely. are we still after people or do we pretty much know our roster for next year?

Get him down to 4.5-5mil and then you throw 2-2.5 at DJ and squeeze in Sr's for the rest of the draft.
Nobody from the Portal can replace Jordan. MSU's only hope, if he does sign, is for Nolan Stevens to become a super star. He has the pedigree to do so, but I would like NS and DJ to play to together. Jordan would be a 2025 1st rounder, top-15 if stays another season.Quote:
