Hardin starting. Gave up a triple and Kohler gets him out of the 1st. Hines batting cleanup still and Stevens 6th, Hujsack now 5th. Hey Lemon what pics does HH have on you.
Stevens makes sense in leftfield. The UNO pitcher is a righthander. Stevens gives us a lefthanded bat in the lineup. Downs and Chance are both righthanded and neither are setting the woods on fire anyway. Stevens pitched yesterday, so he probably wouldn't pitch any today anyway. But I guess he could come in from the field to the mound (example Pete Young, Mitch Moreland, CT Bradford, and many more), although I would be shocked if that happens today. Stevens needs an opportunity.
We need someone else but Hines currently in clean up, I agree. But we have no one else with any power to strike fear in opposing teams.
Ligon in for Hardin. Why the hell not. And hitless in 2. Guess a 2 game losing streak is great going into the meat of the year.
Anyone else hear what Jim said about Ligon?
I keep hoping that we will hit, but I guess we just can't
OK HH time to shut us up. A long pop fly will do. JHFChist son all you have to do is get the dam ball in the fing air
Hines is playing terrible
Apparently this team doesn't understand the concept of situational hitting,
I mean really Hunter. Just stand there don?t swing and we would be better. Bases loaded 1 out and Hunter grounds into a double play. Sheesh!
Edited to say he’s been in this program for 3 years and he’s hitting like this. Gottro can you coach hitters. Serious question.
The coach is the one putting him in the cleanup spot
This tv coverage is horrible. Why can't they sync up the video?
Not only can he pitch
Stevens crushed that pitch. I got to see the start of his swing, then it panned to the ball flying over the fence.
Seems Stevens at DH and Larry in LF would be better.
Evenin' fellas. Tuning in a bit late but good to be with y'all for some midweek baseball.
If this Big SOB could get some confidence it would help us so much. 3.2 good innings so far
WTF? We just PH Trout for Stevens vs a Righty
and got a weak grounder to 1st....FU Lemon
I agree. The board has been trashing Holcombe, and many wanted us to give up on him. But the truth is that we need him to be effective. An effective Holcombe makes us a much better team. We need him to figure it out and help us. Hopefully tonight is a big step toward that.
If you're gonna pinch hit, why not do it with Cupp? I don't get it.
I'm glad to finally see the improvement.
