Just a little perspective fellas .......

Been away for a bit. But now have plugged back in this weekend now that baseball has started. For nothing more than the distraction.

You see, Christmas we found out Carol had stage IV cancer. Four weeks later my love of 36 years was gone. We never made it out of the hospital to get to treatment. It's unimaginable.

So look at tonight for nothing more than what it is. Just a game. One game. And hug your loved ones a little tighter before you turn in tonight.

That's not a little perspective. That's a whole lot of perspective. I can't imagine to begin to know your level of pain right now. You and your family are certainly in my prayers tonight.

Cancer sucks so bad. Lost my dad and 3 uncles to it. Just found out yesterday my aunt has it in her spine. Puts things into perspective for sure.

Sorry for your loss. Cancer is a beast. Took my brother many years ago. I had a touch last year. Fortunately a low grade bladder cancer but very treatable. I?m doing well and hopefully it?s behind me. Not everyone is lucky tho.

Nothing puts things in perspective better than the words you said... my sympathy and condolences. I also have battled it so my perspective changed a few years back... my distraction was also MSU baseball and fortunately that team won it all while I was being treated with chemotherapy, radiation, and many surgeries.... here's to hoping that this season brings you a much needed distraction from your grief
