Wow I really miss those unis.******************
Why? like like why? I was having a great day!
I was in Greenville, MS attending my little sisters wedding that day. On the drive back to Madison, that evening, I tuned in Jack Crystal and listened to that game. I have never been so aggravated in my life. I am surprised I made it home without ripping out the dash board in the car. ARGH!
I sure do miss Jack!
While you're at it just post the Maine game!
I think that is the only time I've seen BOTH fanbases leave the stadium with their heads down.
I was at a restaurant for a friend's birthday. Thankfully there was a bar.
He was such a good guy, tho****

Sgt. Peeper couldn't teach the offense to play...
Semi-hijack:
How would we remember this game if we'd kicked a FG as time expired to win 5-3? Just as bad, or would it have flipped to good? Remember that Auburn was (mis)ranked in the top 10 at the time, so it would have been a pretty big deal to win at all.
I watched that shit on TV and just hated it. It was cringe. One of the worst games ever played
I was there in the student section....broke my cowbell by slamming it too hard and got stupid drunk that night.
It's crazy that after that game Iowa decided to build an entire program dedicated to that game.
I’m not sure which was worse for me in person. Tulane 2006 or Auburn 2008. Tulane 2006 was when I was officially done with Croom. I still held out some hope until that game. I think I was so mum by the 2008 3-2 game I just had 0 expectations so I wasn’t even angry. And no Croom did not win me back in 2007 because I knew that was all Johnson’s defense and that we would be back to bad in 2008. I really did want him to do well in 2004 and 2005 and games like UF and the 2005 Egg Bowl gave me hope, but I knew Tulane was the final straw. I will say Croom at least had me more sold than Moorhead. I was instantly done with Moorhead after Kentucky 2018 because at least Crooms teams were not that undisciplined they were just mainly low on talent and a poor offensive approach to modern day college football
Wesley Carroll 10-25, 78 YDS, 1 INT
That's half a quarter for Will
A friend of my dad's came to that game. He died the next year. It was the first and only time he got to watch a Mississippi State game in person.
I hate that for him.
