Super conferences are coming.
Good. Lincoln Riley ran to the pac 12 bc he scared of tough competition. While the big 10 isn't the sec, it would make him have to face some real teams
Some of these conferences being so far apart geographically stymies some of the rivalry aspect of it. At least it does for me.
2 super conferences coming?
It will give them better bowl tie-ins while still having a shot at the Rose Bowl ... but one hell of a long ride home after a disappointing loss. I never really cared about Pac-12 football and now maybe for me they will be a little more interesting. I bet Washington, Stanford, & Oregon are wondering what's next and best for them ... and if I remember correctly BYU recently joined and there are probably some good Mormons using bad language right now

The true new power base like Genius, the casinos, and Sports air and streaming networks probably could care less, about bowl tie in, when they are carving up their new toy?
I remember back in the early 90s Jackie Wayne Sherrill in a Bulldog Club meeting said in the future there would be Four 16 Team Conferences.
I feel and respect your statement but I am accepting the future. Money greed is taking over sports globally and college football is too small to resist the powers that are taking over. I put a link in my past statement but really wonder if fellow elitedoggers really see whats coming? Even the SEC as we know it is at threat because of the enormity of the power structures. I fully believe that there will be teams relegated out of super conferences to assure the competitiveness preferences of the new power structure overlords. The overlords want maximum viewership of feature games and could care less about the relegated because relegated teams do not make the big money in their scheme of things. I do not like this but see it coming. The only good thing I see is the removal of cup cake games that cloud up the win loss standings.
BTW, I believe that the overlords want Las Vegas to thrive to fill up their casinos with visitors. Look for UNLV to get accommodated and competitive within five years?
Big 10 needs to come get Mizzou
Those Cali nipples are going to get so hard playing up north. Going to see a lot of shrinkage from those schools too. There may never be a night or early game in that conference.
Big ten will get ga tech, unc, duke, and uva
This doesn?t surprise me. The Big 10 wants 16 teams like the SEC and these 2 are probably the best available right now not counting Notre Dame and Clemson money wise. Once Notre Dame, Clemson, Florida State, Oregon, Miami and Stanford find other conferences that pretty much takes up all the major teams. All others will be tied to the SEC or Big 10.
