If he really is the real deal, could he not pull a D'eriq King and take the year to get healthy?
Roll with GS and have TS next year plus an up and coming QB.

TS is to big of a p to play Sec football and looks like Big 10 football as well.
4 games in and he only made it through one game.
Shrader and develop Mayden.
The TS experiment was a colossal failure. Next.
Agree, time to move on. Shrader is the future and now the present.
It was a mistake from the get go
Tommy redshirted in 2015. He played in 16, 17, 18. now 19. He can't redshirt again. He has played his 4.
TS is made of glass. Time to let the beard lead
Shrader comes in goes 75 yards and a TD. That's all I needed to see. Stevens should not see the field again. The offense responds much better with Shrader in.
It definitely should be shrader. I do feel sorry for Stevens though... kid got here (long, long way from home), won job and started well. Boom, body can't hold up, and back to back up at a new school. Life can be tough
And that is my problem with Joe.
We really did not have much luck with the transfer portal with Stevens hurt, Love sitting out, Waitman ineligible and Zuber only a modest contributor.
GD guys. Tommy Stevens already red shirted. Get to know your players.
All I’m saying is Moorhead called a way better game with Garrett in that Tommy. I hate it because the kid is talented but Moorhead did not give him any opportunity to succeed with the shitty playcalling / check with me bs. Auburn literally just shifted alignment when we changed the play. It was kindergarten levels of comical how his 200 IQ offense was beat. With garrett in we toned it down on the stupidity and RTGDFB. MSU running the ball 1 time in the first 6 plays is Joe beating himself plain and simple.
Assuming this is true..... Moorhead can call the game much different with Shrader. Shrader is a much better athlete that run the ball AND pass. Stevens is a statue back there and we don’t have a nfl
Line.
The NCAA doesn't have any consistent application of rules in this. If he can make the case that he was injured in 2015, they might let him have a 6th year if he doesn't play in another game this year. Not saying they definitely would, just that the NCAA does random stuff with eligibility all the time.
Granted, I don't think there would be any point in him coming back to us next year unless we wants to play WR (and even then still maybe not), but he could try to transfer to an FCS school.
His injuries were legit. It kills me when someone shuts on a player that had shit happen to him. Straight up shoulder injury and then able gets rolled. Question his skills but don’t question his heart. I get so pissed when someone shits on a player that actually got hurt. Dude ain’t faking. Everything that happened to him is legit and so wrong at the same time. TS tried and got hurt multiple times representing you! Shut the hell up
