Lets please not turn this into another Rosebowl bashing thread. I was thinking the other day about how much his combines help talent get uncovered in this state. IMO, what he does, along with many others, is one of the reasons we aren't seeing NFL caliber talents go to USM & the SWAC anymore. The talent is getting uncovered earlier than it used to.Quote:

Many of you view our coaches as super human, talent evaluators that work 24/7, but the truth is that they are human beings just like the rest of us. Any help that they can get to filter the talent they will usually appreciate

Haynes is 220 lbs and a 100% speed, edge rusher. OM now needs him to develop into an every down DE. Mullins isn't a pure speed edge rusher. He's a good rusher but his skill set is more conducive to being an every down DE. Should MSU get Marquis Haynes production out of Mullins year 1 (I don't see it), MSU fans should be thrilled. Pretty much what Beast said. Mullins is already 250lbs he's a 3 down DE while Haynes is only a pass rush specialist. I just don't see him playing this year.Quote:
