They should also list special teams that cover punts and kickoffs ***
They need to add "for coveted transfers". That isn't the avg when almost all of CFB sucks
I don't understand. The Times published research data that covers a broad range of NIL cost, what are you inferring? And what part sucks the the most, is it us not being any good that diminishes your joy or is there another factor? I'm intrigued to see your point of view here.
There are 136 FBS schools and a majority don't spend much at all. There's over 200 QBs in the portal ( https://247sports.com/college/transf...positionkey=57 ).
The avg for them will not be 1-4 MM. Just common sense
While your point is a fair one there are alot of back-ups at P4 schools that make 750K-1MM. You also need to understand that alot of schools are indeed spending quite a bit of money. Just because Boise and UNLV arent in a P4 doesnt mean they dont spend. You're bottom 50 dont spend a great deal but hell- even 1-AA schools do NIL now.
I feel we must infer that the very top and bottom aren't part of that data set. Anyway what is coveted? Is us being bad the problem with your enjoyment? I definitely watch the game differently than most, I've officiated it, I still do study the game and interact with those that coach it and officiate it, so the way I watch it is definitely not the way most do.
If you get paid NIL money, then you should not be receiving scholarship.
I would say we are definitely on the lower end of those ranges. And guess what.... there's 40 (prob more) programs out there that will kill for that level of coin. Bc of this, it's absurd to think those avgs are for all the players in the portals. It's the good players, and by good players, I mean those that are pursued by p4 and upper G5 programs (very few).
