All these gay test ads are appearing from your search history! 👀 😆
I keep reporting it as inappropriate ad to google hoping they will get the hint
I keep getting various political figures bikini photos
Whats Grindr??
It?s the most used app during any GOP or conservative big city gathering.
All I'm going to say is the ads are based on your browsing history....
Like once a year someone makes a post like this and outs themselves because they don?t know ads are based on your personal browsing history. Always cracks me up
Well I?m not and others have said the same thing. Web hosting sites sell ad space for predetermined content and they may not always know what it will be!
That's always a fun response, but the algorithm is a lot more complicated than that. For example, the #1 thing I get on ads here (on my phone, that is, because I block them on the laptop) is Republican/pro-Trump politics, and I can assure you I don't ever browse for that. #2 is women's clothes (not sexy clothes, just normal dresses and shirts), and I have never bought clothes for myself online before, much less for a woman.
For whatever reason, the algorithm has used my habits to infer some kind of picture of me and thinks I'm going to click on those ads, but I think we can all see that it's missed the mark.
As for the OP, he's probably not already doing gay hookups, so he wouldn't need the ad. But something about him, whether it's his habits, or his location and perceived demographics or whatever, has convinced the algorithm that he might be a candidate to be interested in one, whether that's based on something actually there or just another AI screwup.
lol
Seriously, for those making excuses are just in denial.
Ads are based on your history.
My ads are all Carmax and ebay.
Rudy Guiliani says hello.
All I see are Sydney Sweeney "ads" at the top and bottom of every page.**
100% bullshit. It's tied to this website. I get Angry Birds ads. (Never played in my life)
I get female hygiene products ads. And I've also seen the Gay Test ads. I'm almost 60 and at this point in life it's too late to figure out whether I'm gay or not. I'll just roll with ***** until I die.
I just got one for "shocking WWII photos," which doesn't align with anything I've looked for.
Granted, the algorithm coming up with "history nerd" is a lot closer to the truth than "Republican woman (/crossdresser?)" so maybe it's getting better.
