They will look at Mullen but likely not hire.

They'll consider Kiffen but once their schedule evens out you'll see how much they consider him. It'll be like Mullen when he was here.

I know a lot of PSU alums and they got tired of him never beating OSU, Michigan and now Oregon. He could never win against a top team and they did not see Boise State or SMU as top level teams. He basically was their Dan Mullen with more talent and an easier schedule. Now they run the risk of hiring a Moorhead though and falling to Wisconsin status. Not sure I agree with the firing, but I understand the frustration of a coach not being able to win a big game

They want Elko or Rhule but not sure if they could get either of them.

That is likely what the buyout is if fired- not to take another job. That's probably around 5-10MM
