Rigby is the new Girodo. Hell of a win tonight.
Great win!
From MSU Baseball twitter: Tonight's attendance at McKethan Stadium for the Bulldogs vs. Gators is 6,244, a new single-game record at the park.
So I assume we are starting Pilkington tomorrow?
If only we had someone that could teach hitting**
Rpi just jumped down 7 points. Down to 20 now.
Piss, moaning & groaning up by 6 on the road at the no 1 team in the nation was awesome. Thread of the year. I doubt any program could top that. We are indeed a unique bunch.
I hope we can follow this W up with a solid bullpen performance. We haven't used many pitchers this weekend. I hope Pilk is able to give us 3 or 4 innings, and the rest of the pen is able to pick up the slack. This game tomorrow appears to be a harbinger for the rest of the season. If we lose, it won't be the end of the world. But it will be a telling tale of how our 3rd games of a series will play out. We haven't yet found an answer on Sundays. Here's hoping that day is tomorrow.
Ha this game thread was hilarious! Thanks everyone that contributed. Hail State nice win!!
10-4 is a solid win over the #1 team in the country at their place. Not quite the Danger Zone that Msstate7 called Friday night.
It most certainly is a dangerous part of our schedule... We did what we had to do though and got a win. We still aren't out of the woods yet though... Next 7 sec games are brutal. I absolutely loved the win last night, but I'm not popping champagne out though. This is still a "danger zone" imo. My goal is to host a regional or be a national seed and our next 7 sec opponents (4 on the road) have the same goal in sight.
We managed to get at least one from the best team in the country on the road -- when neither of our aces were on. Hopefully, they both got this one out of their system for awhile and can go back to business as usual next week.
Looking for Pilkington to go full Pollo here today. Well, he pounds the zone more and I'm pretty sure he won't beat us with walks. So should be interesting to see.
