Give it a break. A freshman has taken his position and he's dealing with it a lot better than a lot of upperclassmen would. We'll need him in some games throughout the rest of the year.

Loved the fight in these guys. Tells me we can be in any game. No reason we can't win the rest of our games at the Hump and we should still be able to steal a few more on the road. Kentucky is by far the best team in this conference and it isn't even close.
It feels nice to GAF about basketball again. Hear, hear?
Now that is how you play a basketball game. That was a kickass effort by our team!
To everyone who was here, team included, great job! Y'all better not back off because of this. This was the beginning of some great stuff. The Hump is BACK!
Final Foul Count for the Game: 51 fouls between both teams. That's a smidge over 1.25 fouls per minute. Wayyyyy too many fouls called.
That was a lot of fun. We played hard and played well for the most part. We lost but that was a really encouraging performance by the Pups
If only our football team would play like this...
L. Peters is a ****ing superstar waiting to happen.
At the beginning of the game I was commenting about how good Kentucky was and we kept taking their best shots and then making runs at them.
I hope the students are jonesing to get back to The Hump for the next home game. It's going to be fun for a while.
Peters is one of the best players I can remember in maroon.
I'm sorry. I wish someone on scholarship would try a little harder
to stop Fox from blowing by him for all of those layups in the last 5 min of the game.
Official attendance: 9,768
Watching Ole Miss and Tennessee after the MSU/UK game you can see a night and day difference in the athleticism. No comparison. If we can play our game and keep improving, no reason we can't go 4-0 against Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Mostella is off UT. We should be able to win the next two at UT and then at home against Missouri. We should be able to build off this win.
When you play Kentucky, you also play the refs. Proud of the Dawgs and the effort they brought tonight. Basketball has a bright future ahead...
That was good game. Great atmosphere and energy. We are young but we are close boys. The most important part of a basketball game are the first 3 minutes of each half. The first 3 minutes of second half was our undoing. We made some critical mistakes and the refs completely shafted us a few times. This team has a lot of pieces in place and I am very excited about the rest of this season.
Great effort! Much to be excited about.
Our ability to score can keep us in every game from here on out. We don't have to play Kentucky again until the SEC tourney. We should gain confidence from this. I think we go 9-4 when we play Florida. If we can go 2-2 against UF, USC, and UK I think we will be in great shape. That will mean all we need to do is to defend our home court against Florida and South Carolina. I think we can do that.
Just flipped over to the OM/Tenn game. Think they could have made that "Ole Miss" at center court any bigger? Looks downright tacky and distracting.
They have a lot of vacancies in the high-dollar seats too.
We have blown out teams when we are on shooting wise. We have stayed in the games now when we aren't shooting well because of a post game and Herard's development. We just have to take that next step and get to 5-2 in the league over the next two games against UT and Missouri. I think we can. We have continued to improve since using this new lineup.
Just got back.
1. Peters and kegler played their asses off. By far the best game from kegler yet.
2. We are a post player away from being a bubble NCAA team.
3. Great job by the crowd.
4. Kentucky is really athletic
5. Hopefully we can avoid the Kentucky let down at tenn. Glad we have 4 days to regroup.
Next year having 5 bodies in the post will go a long way. Herard and Holman starting with Ado and brooks and datcher coming off the bench. I can't remember the last time we had 5 legititmate bodies in the post.
This is the first time that we match up physically in size with Ky that I can remember.
Actually the announced attendance was 9800 and change.
