He never left the boat
I thought we were looking at one from Northwest MS CC?
It might depend in part on Peters injury situation. If he has to redshirt all of a sudden both of our CB's are coming back. Granted, Peters would be coming off of rehab and we don't even really know what the injury is yet.
Just had an epiphany. We are going to sign one of top big receivers in the state. There's no way OM gets all of them with the unsightly display that's happening on that campus. No one with any dignity will do that.
We already have a commitment from the top WR in MS. Mingo better wake up and realize they're going to drop him in at DB, not WR.
If you think Jarrian Jones is better than Mingo you have either 1. Never seen them play, 2. Never seen them go 1 on 1, and 3. didnt watch the game they played against one another friday night.
I like JDub and I think he is a SEC Wr but not a DB. Mingo made him look pretty average friday night
Pulling Mingo would be a great move by the staff. Hopefully someone will notice our offense and get on board. Is our QB commit going to bring any top notch talent with him?
I have a feeling Jaylon Reed is going to be a pretty good corner for us when he comes in. Had a very nice offer sheet and Malik Heath said at the BAMA/MS Allstar game that Reed covered him better than any other corner during practices. They had quite a competition going on down there. My biggest concern at the moment is RB. We lose Aeris this year. We could lose Hill after next year. And I see no promising backs coming up to replace them. We need 2 stud RBs ASAP!!!
Expect us to get an OV from Eric Gray.
If we can pull Gray and Tyree next round, we'd be loaded.
I'm not ready to say we get Gray yet but getting him for an OV is the next step. I think it comes down to MSU & TN. Tyree is planning on being back for the Florida game. You don't drive from Virginia to MS 4 times in 6 months if you don't have some serious interest. I know he really loves Huff & that's who he has his best relationship with.
Grey just needs to visit Michigan in December, before he signs.
He's stated that he's still been in contact with MSU & that we will likely get an OV. Again I'm not ready to say he's ours or anything because I do know TN is on him very hard. Just letting it be known that we are still recruiting him very hard & he's listening.
So here’s a bit more information about Gray. Given that Michigan has committed two other running backs. It’s probably safe to assume he won’t sign there unless they are talking about somebody playing other positions. Plus it’s a long way from home.
He’s taken 3 official visits: Michigan, penn state and ole miss. He officially visits TN next weekend. They also don’t have rb pledged for next year. If we can survive the weekend there without a commit and then get an OV then we would get his last OV which would be a benefit.
No telling how it will play out but at least we are in position to have a few timeline advantages.
He said he has 2 more OV left & they'll be OM Bama or MSU for those 2. With Bama having Keiland Robinson on board & looking good with Trey Sanders while also recruiting Wandale Robinson for a all purpose role. I think OM & MSU are his last 2 visits. TN MSU OM Bama & Michigan are the only schools he's talking to.
A few things
1. The last RB Michigan committed is going to play Slot WR for them.
2. He hasn't taken an OV to OM
3. No one is expecting him to commit to TN this weekend. If he flips it's likely later on in the process.
We do need to get him on campus next weekend or for the Auburn game
Thanks. I thought the OM visit was an official

I hate that Gray has any interest in Tennessee.
Sharpe with season ending injury tonight. Bad news for our OL class.
How do we feel about signing Washington? Pretty confident or no?
