I thought people were just blowing smoke in the off-season. But if he can block like this (BIG IF) all season, then he's a first round pick. The talent is there. We've been waiting on the technique. And he figured it out.

This is 2008 Texas Tech with a better defense.

Johnson and Marks are a hell of a 1-2 punch

No doubt our defense is much improved, but this appears to be the weakest Memphis offense in quite a number of years. Their QB is just average and they don't seem to have any real playmakers in the backfield or at WR.

The only bad thing about the defensive performance is that Memphis isn't running any clock. Lol. We may need 2 more scores to get the backups in, unless we run a ton of clock on this drive.
