Would be nice to sign a plug and play LB bc we are going to need one in 2020
Saw where Ole Miss got a commit from Brian Buckhaulter. He will be a top player in the 21 class in state.
After watching and asking around a little bit, Adams is one of the fastest players in the state. He will blow up this summer in 7 on 7
So what you're telling me is our staff and Moorhead has zero problem identifying and evaluating talent. Just good to keep that little nugget around when people say Mullen could evaluate talent better or that Moorhead is having trouble recruiting. Seems like he's evaluating talent just fine.
I think that's important for us to note.
E Jai Mason just decommitted https://twitter.com/xxspiffyyej/stat...92281128275968
This isn’t a deep class, are we going to be able to keep the top ones in state?
Instate or out of state it doesn't matter. Just bring in SEC playmakers.
I think E. Jai situation turns out like Jarrian. Let the kid go out see what's out there. I expect him to come back home.
Say goodbye to Jai.
I called it when he committed, that he would de commit.
And the reason is....there is somebody within the Clinton school that hates MSU and is in kid's ears.
Don't ever get excited about a Clinton commit.
I know I never post, so call me a troll if you want, but you're wrong on this. Say what you want about the Cam situation. There was some truth to that one about steering him away from State, but nobody is in kids' ears in Clinton steering them away from State now.
Judd isn't directly steering them away from state as far as I know, but he is influencing their decisions. He is a huge OM guy. The Cam Akers year was the last year that they allowed HS coaches to join college staffs without it affecting their kids signing with them, and Judd had already agreed with OM for an off the field position if Akers signed. Yancy is an idiot and wrong more times than not, but he was right about this. Everyone thought Akers was signing as late as that day. His coaches thought he was committing to ole miss until he said FSU.
The Judd stuff is way, way overblown. Has nothing to do with Jai.
You're right in that there was a supposed deal for Judd to take a job at Ole Miss if Cam signed, but that of course didn't happen. All I'm saying is that the Judd steering kids to Ole Miss and away from State is a overblown. There isn't a conspiracy in Clinton schools against State. Believe me. I would know.
Saw where Jai was offered by FSU. Who on that staff is connected to Mississippi?
I get what you're saying, but what I'm saying is that it was an isolated case with Cam. To say that he is actively steering kids away State and to Ole Miss is exaggerated. I'm not saying I like the guy by any means, but there isn't a conspiracy at Clinton High School against State is my bigger point.
If judd were such a huge factor, then why is Cam at FSU and not Ole Miss then? I mean, people keep saying he pushed Cam to Ole Miss and he had a job if so, which might be true. But at the end of the day he didn't sign w ole miss, therefore, if he's pushing them there, he clearly isn't the influence on them that some here believe.
Ole Miss had Akers"all paid up" but FSU really came through with the nice stack of chip$ in the end. He got the best from both but now he's on a sucky team anyway.
Yes it will 'work out' but if you look at our history with decommits it doesn't give you a warm and fuzzy if you want E. Jai Mason in this class. In the last five years only 14% of our decommits ended up signing with us. If you look at just 4* recruits that number drops to 11%. We need to be looking elsewhere to fill that spot and we are.
Do we expect any commits at this weekend's Junior Day?
