Hail State!!
Howland giving props to Stansbury. That should make some heads around here explode.
It's an ugly win but we sure needed it and will take it. Finally they finished.
I saw a team still learning how to play with a new lineup and Peters getting more PT. Referees tried to let them win at end and the two turnovers by Q at end were bad. Winning on the road despite all of the negatives at the end was clutch. Have to back it up Saturday and pull back to .500.
Hard earned good W. Hopefully this ends the road jinx. Looked like we grew up a little tonight
Absolutely huge win! Win the next 2 at home and we'll be sitting in a nice spot. Way to go Ben!
Karl Hess is a Mfer
36% from 3 in the last five games minus UK, which was improbably bad even for us. Hopefully we're coming out of our extended shooting slump.
The team played tough tonight and deserved the win. Ado is getting better and better.
Quick question.
How was this an ugly win??
Yeah the last 2 minutes wasn’t good. Other than that how was it ugly.?
I forgot we suck. Nevermind
51.7% from the field 36.8% from 3 and 93.3% from the stripe. Really proud of the way our guys battled on the road when officiating was sub par at best down the stretch. Ado haters are quiet now. Let’s get it on Saturday!
We beat USC and Hess’s Crew to win our first road game of the year. You really have to be a negative asshole to nitpick a win on the road in the SEC.
I'm not intending to be overly critical. Probably let that last 3 minutes influence the statement too much. I've been one of the few people telling others to get on board with this team for the last 2 weeks. This team has a real opportunity with a wide open SEC. Every game left on the schedule is a winnable game. Time to take it to the next level.
Congrats goes out to the boys!
One more comment: My 1st goalpost has always been to get back to where we were Stan’s last year. That win last night means that that is possible for the first time. Once we get there THEN we can discuss the next goalpost. We are really close to being able to do that. A road win when facing some pretty serious adversity should do wonders for the team.
This just has to be added to the discussion. The ESPN guys discussed SC 10x the amount of time they discussed our team during the broadcast. Why is that?
We are exactly where we were in every Stansbury season (except '04) at the first of February - on the bubble and dependent upon the back half of the SEC schedule to determine our fate. I'd say that this team has an equal chance or better to perform as well as all but 3 of Stands teams over the next month. The big difference is that all 9 games on the remaining schedule are winnable games. Its a good place to be.
