We're aiming a bit higher with remaining receivers. We'll go portaling for 2-3.

I'm cool with that. I was thinking of Matthews as a guy that we might take a flyer on and see how he develops in a year or two anyway. We're going to have to replace Brennen Thompson in the offseason anyway and we need even more talent in the WR room.
I really like Jayden Cration and Zayion Cotton. I don't think we have a true 6'5" long receiver like Cotton that we can target in the red zone.
We may be more in the game than previously thought with Bralan Womack. He's officially visiting tomorrow.
To have him on campus and visiting like that is a big deal regardless considering how out of the game we have been with the big in state guys.
National ranking has dropped to #49. Good news is that we got visits from a couple of big names this past Saturday. Mixed news is that they see we need help and can provide immediate playing time as our team didn't show up in so many ways against Georgia.
Saw 247 had a story about us making a move with Womack. Hope that is the case.
Lebby and crew are trying. gotta wait and see if any quality guys are very interested
Seems like we are making progress with Womack. Any truth?
What’s happened with Stonka? Bad eval by us?
Not to sacrifice the overall good of team. With what we are paying Stonka, we could have brought in another difference maker at DE alongside Will.
We made three critical mistakes that allowed the game to get out of hand:
Shapen fumble
Going for it on fourth and not converting when Fluff dropped the pass. That was a huge momentum killer.
Jumping offsides when Georgia was subbing in and out punting.
If we clean that up that game is a lot closer and we have a chance to win.
I've noticed we have offered a lot of JUCO kids this week.
I asked a guy that should know why and apparently, our coaches thought that they were going to pass the 5 to play 5 rule this offseason, and they won't be so we will have more open spots than originally thought.
Anyone hearing anything different? My twitter timeline is just filled with juco kids claiming they got offered this week.
Does juco even count against eligibility anymore? If it doesn't it's a great move to get these kids. It's similar to prep schools that Auburn and Georgia were notorious for signing players with 4 years still remaining.
Update: We now have a 4 star committed as Zayion Cotton, WR, is now rated a .89 on 24/7 with a 24/7 Composite of .9060. Class ranking nationally moves back up to #48. I don't see many hoped for flips of players from MS or anywhere else if we have a Croom like 45-0, "I didn't see that one coming" Egg Bowl. Maybe the Kiffin drama will continue through kickoff.
Leon Noil, IOL from Edna Karr and a Nebraska decommit, has committed to us. Big pickup for Lebby and Loadholt. He will RS next year to get some weight on him but he could be a guy that can play multiple positions on the OL for us.

All you need to know?
Latest Commit: DL (Edge), from TX JC, 6'4", 280. Ranked #1 in State, #7 at his position and #32 Nationally, but yet a .86 although an impressive offer list including UGA. Ranking of JC players is very odd. By the way, this class is still ranked #45 nationally and this continues to be very concerning as 15 of the 24 commits are ranked .86 or .85. If we don't get some flips or process some of these perhaps "diamonds in the rough", I think this will be the worse ranked class in my lifetime. And yes, I think it still matters as you need a balance between HS/JC recruiting and the Portal. Right now, 44 teams from various conferences seem to think it is still important and are ahead of us. JMO.
Potentially. Let?s just say there is a reason Womack is at Hartfield. And we had a former player and now multi millionaire also have a kid there, additionally had us set up with two DL (one at AL and one at Ark) and David Turner dropped the ball on both.
I also know of a couple of other boosters in construction that have recently sold for some
Nice paydays they are really helping out Lebby with NIL.
People for years kept saying we should be ?moneyball? approach but don?t remember how bad the A?s were most years.
Let me just say this-we have a lot more money than people give us credit for. And for years we have believed the ?we are poor school?. We aren?t poor-our boosters just don?t flaunt it like others. We have been recommitted to NIL funds for next year particularly on the OL and DL and hopefully not listening to a certain old guard on who our DL coach should be.
