I doubt we were on him. Judging by the guys we were going after, we want low K guys. Kid had a good avg but a K rate of 31%. Also probably didn't help his case that he was 1-7 with 5 Ks in two games against us.Quote:

This is not a portal guy but one of our signees, a player to keep an eye on is Topher Jones. Watching him play he's slick in the field and has excellent bat speed. Also by watching him on the field he's a kid that loves the game and is a leader who's teammates love him. If you watch him you can see how much he loves being on that field, gamer. While he may not be an immediate impact player, keep an eye on him down the road.
Sounds like we may be closing in on a pitching commit in the next couple of days.
