State-Georgia Game thread

I can't begin to explain how pissed I am about where our program is right now and I'm not seeing anything that makes me feel like improvement is on the horizon.

according to everything ive been told, Strick told Ray you can go 0-for for two years and not be in any danger but in year 3 we expect to be atleast competitive... I figure that means middle of the road in the conference, NIT type team

Florida and UK are the only ones who really give a shit about hoops. Times have changed, hoops around here is just not going to return to prominence and I frankly couldn't care less. I'm glad Stans is gone because of the embarrassment factor. Do you REALLY think Bama, Auburn, etc. are upset about their hoops programs?

There were many lean years of football that basketball carried us until baseball season started. Basketball used to be my favorite sport to watch state on TV, it was face paced and competitive. Well, you are right about one thing at least. I dont give a shit about hoops anymore.

I can see that. Unless we just totally shit the bed next year, I think he gets a 4th.

I'm just not sure that it's possible to get back to being contenders in hoops. Look at the rest of the Southeast.

It's dangerous to mess with any program without having a set plan in place, but especially basketball. Make one wrong move and you're set back at least 10 yrs.

I still want Rick Ray to work out for us, and I still believe he can, but it would be crazy not to replace him with Bruce Pearl if we had that opportunity this offseason.
