A smart up and coming guy in recruiting with lots of contacts , great with kids and parents , and has that IT factor about him when it comes to recruiting and relationships
From my understanding we basically made zero effort to counter offer when he came to us.
Mason loved it here , girlfriend here, would have stayed here .. could we had matched the offer from LSU probably not
But if it went down the way I was told I would have left as well ..

Yea Mason's a good guy. He was a very personable guy and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He also loved Starkville and was very passionate about the program. I really hope it didn't go down like this because he was a good one to have on our staff and I'd hate to know that we didn't make some sort of effort to keep him.Quote:
