They're making diving catches and were finding holes in the infield earlier in the game with groundballs- this is just not our day.
And it doesn't help that we're competing like a bunch of pussies either.
We aren't very good. Period.
Damn, our offense today seems like groundball after groundball and pop-up after pop-up! Will someone who's actually seeing these games clue us in as to whether their staff is actually that good.
They are pounding the zone and we are getting ourselves out. We aren't a very good hitting team right now.
I've seen more runs after a trip to Taco Bell than our team has put up so far this season. Time to remove heads from asses, and play some damn inspired baseball. The Big Fella, Pirtle, and Detz need to take this team by the balls and have a come to Jesus meeting
Sad part is that HC had not even played a game until this series started. Hard to believe we are going to split this dang series with them.
30 hits for Holy Cross in the last 3 games.
6-1 HC with our worst game of the season played today. They have stranded 9 runners. This could be a much worse blow out then it already is. This should drop us out of the top 25.
What absolutely infuriates me is not maximizing your chances to win. It's really ****ing agitating when John handcuffs us. Tatum and Shelly is the kind of shit I speak of. Our first inning Cohen meddling is what I speak of.
If we play our best 9 and throw our best arms and lose... Ok. But losing while not MAXIMIZING our chances is what ha driven me nuts.
Kendall Graveman and Adam Frazier were a couple of quiet leaders that we have to replace. I think we are battling a lack of leadership right now. I know it may not be their personality type, but Pirtle and Detz and Rea have got to be vocal in getting things turned around. They can't just be silent and expect these freshmen to step up.
We have gotten schooled in every aspect of the game today.
Talk about going out with a whimper.
We need to get our heads screwed on straight - Michigan State who comes to town next weekend beat Oregon State yesterday.
This is where they just need to drop their shit and just start running. Awful.
We have the power of a Junior High team outside of Rea. Bradford and Hann just hit the ball as hard as they can and the outfielders caught it on a sprint towards the infield.
Well, that was a shit sandwich. Glad I wasted part of my weekend watching the piss poor effort our team showed. The Intense Bastard better wake these little titty babies up.
First blow out loss of the season. Doesn't make you feel good about where we are. Looks like John's pep talks just aren't working. We may need players like Wes Rea, Brett Pirtle, and Alex Detz to get on these kids asses. 4-4 with this schedule just isn't cutting it.
This was the first game that we've really gotten beat because our pitchers were hit. Two of the other losses was due to defense and then the other we lost to the national pitcher of the week. The only silver lining is the pitchers that did get hit won't pitch a lot for us this year-and Shelly is probably done for the year.
Feels like we were mugged by the mafioso this weekend. In every game it seems those four Italiano kids were generating offense for them. Timely hitting by them in every game. And I know I'm exaggerating, but it feels like we have had more wild pitches thus far thei season than all last year!!
Garner Humphreys and Heck have to start. This is getting ridiculous.
On the year for Jacob Lindgren

He has thrown 7% of our innings thus far. Thats absurd. **** the experiment and start his ass. Needs to be at least 15% of our workload this year.
Is this true? Matthew Stevens just posted this on twitter:
"Holy Cross, w/ 0 athletic scholarships & w/o 13 players from last season’s team, just took 2 of 4 at No. 7 Miss. State to open 2014 season."
And the HC said they should have won the series because they were the better team. And we haven't even started playing the big boys.
Exactly, and in year 6 our program should be beyond the point of stumbling out of the gate like this AT HOME against mid-level competition. If we are truly trying to get to elite status this year may actually end up being a step BACK in the process. Like you said, last year our team looked MUCH more polished early in the season and we really didn't lose to any weak teams.
