LOL! What? Ok...

He certainly can't prove you wrong. All he can really do is say "look at all these stars when these kids were in HS".
Lets hope he is right. All of our DL portal signees throughout their careers don't have as many tackles or sacks as Whitson did in 2023 alone.
The positive spin is that we are going after kids who have high upside. The negative spin, we are signing kids who haven't done shit so far on the P4 level.
Lets hope for all of our viewing enjoyment that he is right, and we are wrong. I do not agree with this approach, but the portal is closed and it appears this is the roster we are going to war with next year.
I find it very interesting that a significant number of folks said our OL couldn't get any worse two weeks ago, then when the starting LT for that group leaves in the portal, who got abused on countless occasions, we all of a sudden suck at OL now.
If our season hung on Jayvin James returning or not returning, there was no hope to begin with people. He wasn't a good piece on a bad OL.
Where do you want to start? OT? McVay is a seasoned starter. Sneh... has played LT since his college career began in 2022. He is an older seasoned guy has not allowed a sack in 2 years as a starter.
James alone allowed 4 sacks and more hurries. He was responsible for 7 flags.
Thats improvement.
It?s because they are the only ones that will come play for this staff. Same reason we have hired a DC that lied to our team 2 years ago back in the program. It?s why we could only get the assistants we got. All Lebby has done since day 1 is swing and miss. If money is no longer an issue, then what is?
Hearing that we would have to pay right at 6 mil to get Seaton and we are backing off.
We haven?t. And ain?t going to. If you are a HS or portal kid, unless you just love State, why would you come here? What has Lebby done? It?s not like he is super likable or endearing to anyone. He hasn?t done one memorable thing for me personally except lose. He doesn?t work the referees or the sideline, it?s just kinda boring
The money is there. The playing field is supposedly more even. I don?t think so but whatever. What excuse is there? We are staring a football black hole in the face until we get new admins and coaches that kids can get behind and excited about. Or at least provide something. Cignetti is about as personable and relatable as a rock, but at least he is intense. He has something to hang his hat on. What is Lebbros? His swag? Rope hat?
We have yet to play a down of football with our first expensive, hell not even expensive just more on par, roster and youre already counting losses. Give it a rest dude, we will be fine and if we arent back to square 0 next December with what would be my guess a Lebby downgrade
We have upgraded the roster some from a talent standpoint. Guys aren’t coming to State no matter who the coach is if they can play at LSU or Miami
What is a downgrade on Lebby? Sylvester Croom got Fletcher Cox to play at State
If Lebby is fired in 2026, it means he probably has the 2nd worst tenure of any 21st century SEC head coach, only better than Chad Morris. Maybe Coach O at Ole Miss too, though getting to that point could save his job.
I hope that doesn't happen, but if it does, it would be really hard to downgrade.
folks on the plantation say that markel bell has eligibility remaining
I'm saying they did not outrecruit Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, etc over the same players. Those guys didnt choose Indy over Ohio State. They signed a bunch of grown ass men and developed players extremely well. Remember guys posting in here they were 72nd in talent level according to 247???? Ohio St and Indiana havent been recruiting the same players
If Lebby can?t make it past October 2026, it will show he should have been fired after the mayonnaise bowl. State is going to have to pay a sitting HC $9 mil to come here. No more cheap hiring coordinators for $4 mil. That strategy will no longer work for a bottom feeder program. Cignetti made $9 mil this year, only his second at a P4 program. Is State a P4 program? Let?s see it!
Cignetti actually made about $11MM total plus the bonuses are going to get him to 14MM this year
You also have to add in people that will actually take our job. Willie Fritz turned us down to go to Houston. Too many of our fans think people drool for our job. I can assure you they do not- that is why we hire coordinators so often.
If State couldn?t hire a G6 sitting head coach or an FCS successful head coach for $8-$9 mil, then the program needs shuttering, the stadium bulldozed and turned into a 6 level parking garage! Good grief! Indiana was the losingest program in college football history and are now NC. State?s program, though not great over the entire history, is no where close to that bad! Shut it down if you truly believe what you just typed! No need in wasting any more money on football if Felker, Croom, Morehead and Lebby are the best State can do!
