2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Dude - I enjoy your posts and I enjoy the dialogue. But I tried telling everyone on this thread as well as the JA thread that I had different info that conflicted with yours 48 hours ago. You aren't the only one on this board with sources. I normally don't say much as I don't want to hurt my relationships. But I did tell you and others this was going to happen and you talked down to me then as well as others on here. I got told from you and others that I don't understand recruiting when my info has been dead on. The info you got was good just biased from coaches so I apologize for calling it bad. But I never talk down to you - that's disrespectful. Heck I agree with most of your posts. But I understand recruiting very well - 3 people in my immediate family played SEC FOOTBALL.

And before we hear the, “well he could not get on the field there so why do we want him?” Well he was scheduled for visits with LSU and A&M over the weekend. So big time programs think he can play. Big get for Lebby. And we ain’t done with OU receivers…..

Speed speed! Thompson is one of the fastest WRs in college. He's a 10.29 100 meters guy.

What is crazy is that AU people are hoping and praying that AU will keep recruiting the QB position and find someone that will be better than Arnold.

If I know Freeze, he will absolutely try and do that if some actually elite QB hits the portal.

Question about "signing" transfers.

What actually commits them to our school since NLI's are a thing of the past? Is it when they enroll?

This is something I just don't fully grasp, so any help would be appreciated.

They sign a FAA(Financial Aid Agreement) which prohibits other SEC schools from going after them. That is why OM waited for Amos to decommit and commit to Colorado last year before going after him. They couldn't go after him if he was still with us.

At least that's the way I understand it. I could be wrong though.

Also. Kid was clocked at 4.39 out of HS. He's a tad bit fast.

I thought I heard S. Robertson say there are papers to sign. They just can’t sign on a visit. Can signs before or after but has to be a cooling period after a visit.

Perusing AU boards they're saying it's a done deal with JA and that the number being thrown around for him is 2.5mil (They say they're offering more to QBs that haven't hit the portal) and also that he isn't their #1 target. They have some other unknown prospect they're going after as QB1 and apparently JA is fine with it and is being told he'll compete for the starting job in '26. That's absolutely insane to me.

This is wild, imagine if we were prepping for a big time NY Bowl game or you were a playoff team and you had all this going on too. I don't see how it's sustainable for the coaching staffs

Refuse to believe that's true. Freeze is such a sleeze bag, I'm sure he told him he is the starter and anyone else they bring in is for depth and then he will just throw whoever loses out like trash. i loathe that POS so much
