Melting based on clear and evident causes for concern is different than based on pure emotion. Some of us who have watched baseball for decades see clear reasons for concern. Sometimes it does take the normal 15-20 games to see things. But sometimes not.

This question is about the mental state rather than the physical state but how does it affect a team if they are already behind the majority of the time before they even have an at-bat? It's bound to make everyone press a little. How do you overcome that instead of letting it snowball? Coaching or team leaders? We've been trailing in the bottom of the first 3 out of the first 4 so far. It's almost like our batters are saying "Here we go again" and start pressing and jumping on pitches early in the count.

Bianco has been doing it for 20+ years, been a national seed 5 or 6 times, has now won a CWS, and yes he is a gigantic asshole. Him and Cohen are very alike.

Correct. Because in college sports it is. You have assts to be nice and be their friend. The HC can't be the one to do that. It's a respect thing. Cohen's assts (Butch, Nick, Lane, Mike Brown) all were extremely nice guys. Cohen was a dick. Polk was not friends with any of the players. He had Mcmahon, Shoop, Raffo, Schoenrock, and McNickle for that. All those guys, outside of Pat, were extremely nice.
