I am hoping we hired the Tony Bennett of the SEC. His defense is on another level and I love it.
We shot 25%, had zero bench points and Shak went 0-10 off the bench but we found a way to win. I'll take it but that will get us beat against better teams. We have to be more consistent on offense
This game and the last one are games we consistently have lost over the last decade.
This team plays with effort for the full 40 minutes.
We won't be offensive juggernauts this year, but our defense is going to win us some games.
Great job by Jans having the defense looking this good this early in year 1.

Winning on the road is huge. Shooting will be better at the Hump. We are just now finding out our rotation. Reed was recruited as a shooter, hasn’t happened yet. Moore is a mystery with his shot. For some reason he doesn’t look comfortable with confidence.

My kind of Coach also. Love the defensive intensity and rebounding. Shooting will improve especially at the Hump. I would like to see us get out some on the break with turnovers which will come in days ahead. Also we handle the ball pretty well which is another good trait.Quote:

Back in my childhood, before dunks were legal, rims were bolted on firmly without a spring. So they were really stiff, with the only play coming from the steel rim itself. I think it was illegal to even touch the rim, let alone hang on it now after a dunk.Quote:

Moore is a better 3 ball shooter than he is showing I think. He is sliding right or back on his shot and not toward the rim or straight up & down.
