Yep. Gold chains are stupid. Hit the fn ball.
Was channel surfing around to several SEC games and it is just plain obvious every SEC team has players taller and bigger than us. And they have muscles! Perennially lowly BAMA, UGA, and TENN all look like bigger and better clubs than us. KY has a pitching staff that rivals their basketball team.....6'11" / 6'9" / 6'7 / 6'5" and they rip the cover off the ball with Luke Becker and Tristan Pompey. Every SEC team has at least 2 or more pitchers as good as Pilkington. We may be lucky to win 3-5 SEC games this year. This is so sad. The once great SEC program waddling in the bottom of the barrel. And Vandy lost all 3 of their games in Houston Classic where we won all 3. Go figure!
Atta boy, Allen. We on the board. I predict a win tomorrow
We scored! Celebration time!
I'm not sure what the infatuation is with some MSU fans and the height of our players is. Kentucky got ripped this weekend by Arkansas. You don't want tall middle infielders usually unless it's an exception like a Cal Ripken. Stovall and Skelton are really the only players that I would consider short for their position- and I can certainly live with a second baseman being 5'8".
If you look up the height and weight of our players I think you would find that this is more perception than reality. And again- freshmen are not going to be as developed and filled out as another teams juniors and seniors.
Length doesn’t always equal power hitting. I know some tall baseball players that couldn’t hit a beach ball with a 10 foot light pole
Maybe we should fire the hitting coach.

another position player that would start for any other SEC West team. We're atleast two years away from being decent in this league.
from last year and we know why but even said he didn't inherit shit from Cohen. If it wasn't for Rooker and Gridley last year we would've been horrible. Rooker absolutely carried that team on his back the first half of the year.
A lot of that is because of who they had hitting around them in the lineup. Mangum and Stovall didn't have to carry the team because their job was to get on base and let Rooker drive them in. Cody Brown was a good leader who was a fifth year senior which is something this team sorely lacks. Gridley was good too obviously. Vansau was a role player and now we're asking him to hit clean up. We had more roster flexibility with Brown and Mangum to where we could mix and match Vansau and MacNamee better. Lovelady wasn't a great hitter but he was a good leader.
this year
first baseman that has hardly touched the field this year, if at all. That's a huge miss at a critical position that requires a good stick with some pop.
We evened things up with Vanderbilt though ... women's tennis won 4-0.
