I predict Kyle Wright for a solid #3 under contract thru 2019.

Hope that arm contusion doesn't keep Freddie out long. FU CC.
I think he's actually a bit behind in his development from what was expected when he was drafted.
I just think he's been solid but ranks behind 6 or 7 of our projected rotation for the next couple years, but has that top pick cache still going for him. Seems like the right guy to trade and the right time. And I dont think we mind adding a solid piece in the rotation for this year and next, but no longer. Wright for 1.5 years of an established but not overpaid starter seems right.
Touki is starting tonight at AAA.
If allard can continue to improve his k rate, we could see him and touki at some point this season. Weigel is another guy to keep an eye on. I love weigel... hopefully he comes back from TJ strong
Matt Powers says:
“With just over 24 hours to go before the signing deadline, I’m starting to feel less confident in the chances of the Braves signing Carter Stewart than I was earlier today. Two different reports have seemed to turn momentum the other way“
Did you see that blast to straightaway center field by the Brewers? Long one. The Braves are going to have to do some scoring in the 9th.
Trouble, trouble... tied with Phillies and nats a coming.
Not sure who I'm more disappointed in tonight...
1. Albies for running into the 1st out at 3rd in the 1st inning. Should've been a run in a 1-run loss.
2. Snit for PR culberson instead of santana when it was clear we'd need a PH 1 batter later. Snit then PH flaherty (.469 ops since May 1st) instead of flowers in the 9th bc of lefty/righty stupidness.
3. AA for screwing up the 8th pick in the draft. AA has to share the blame for garbage butt flaherty still be an option for a dummy like snit to use.
Just sick right now...
We've got big problems. Starting with management.
I think this organization is going to be afraid to make moves this year. We need change badly right now and no one in management seems to want to make that move. Pitching is horrid right now. We need shake up there.
Should have scored 3 in the first. I like being aggressive but with 0 outs, you can't the that chance.
7th inning, 2ns & 3rd 0 outs and can't get a run in there. Santana can't even put in play. Time for him to go.
First 4 game losing streak of year. Time to respond
Freddie has to snap out of it. 16 games is plenty for a shit streak.
That’s Ron Washington’s aggressiveness but it’s also allowed us to score some runs when we didn’t last year. It’s a fine line with that type of aggression and you have to hold the player accountable to read that situation better as well
MS7...you can back if the ledge now. It's a long season. At least this year will be exciting one way or another
Dam now Newcombe is pulling his best Steve Avery impression. The Pitching or recently inconsistent pitching is going to start to become a problem.
We are not going to get smoked that bad. The major problem for is the pitching. It has been so inconsistent lately. Folty and Newcombe are pitching like they are worn out. Terhen is hopefully over his injury. The major problem in the East is that the Phillies are starting to get hot at the right time.
I get on snit all the time, but great move pulling ender. If ender doesn't care enough to run out a fly ball, let em sit
Ender is a dumb***
Wouldn't be a braves' game without sam freeman pitching, and giving up a run
This is the collapse I was afraid was coming.
I realize we've played a brutal road stretch, but we're not even competitive in the games we're losing. Bone headed base running, bad at-bats, bad starting pitching, etc..
They better wake up in a hurry because the Phillies and the Nationals are coming on quick.
At least the Phillies lost too
It's a long season. The braved team that lost to the giants in 10 or 11 had a 10 game losing streak.
As far as ender goes, I guarantee you that snit had already discussed hustling on the base paths previously this year. I've noticed It quite a few times myself that he'll get frustrated and not even give 50% down the line. Snit did the rite thing by benching him. I'd like to see him sit out at least one more game. He's an elite level defender in center but he's apparently not as good as he thinks. That sorta thing can turn quick on a young team dealing with the ups and downs of a long season.
Snit said in the post game interview that he had talked to Ender about it before. Definitely the right move and I agree. Would love to see him out Tuesday vs the Blue Jays. I didn't get to see it live but heard it live on the radio. Radio guys instantly called it out for what it was.
I came and watched this crap. Minter has a blister and snit left him in to lose lead. Then he goes to Luke freaking Jackson. Luke Jackson, you serious, snit?
Stolen from chop country...
Braves now 44-47 against all teams not named Marlins or Mets.
Long season...
This loss, combined with last night's beating and the blown 9th inning in game 1 of the series, all 3 defeats that could send us into a tail spin that we can't ever find our way out of. Tonight's being the worst of the bunch. It's getting to a point where, i have absolutely no faith in anyone out of the pen.
Minter had a cut on his thumb, not a blister. Good news imo. My apologies to snit... I'd have left AJ in there with a little cut too
