What the hell was Collins doing?
No excuse there by Collins. A ball hit that deep to right center with less then 2 outs, he should always be ready to tag.
I'll take 4-0 though. 4-0 good guys bottom of the fifth.
My keys were...
1) Pilk go into the 5th or beyond
2) No unforced errors
3) No baserunning mistakes
I guess it's time for a Collins error and a Holland boot.*
How does Robson run all the way to 2nd before he realizes Collins isn't running? Why the heck didn't Collins tag? Unreal
Nice quick inning for Pilk!
If Pilk can get to the seventh, that would be awesome.
11 fly outs, 4 K's, 0 ground outs for Pilk
Pilk looking good today
On to the 6th
4-0
Gridley with a sharp ground out. 1 down
Even our outs are pretty well hit. Whole team is seeing it well right now
Holland turning on thank gosh. We need him...
Errors happen, pitchers miss spots, guys strike out and go into slumps. Those things just happen. But there is zero excuses for base running blunders. This is by far our worst phase of the game.
Base hit for Holland. He's hitting well right now. Great sign
Sloppy last few innings for us on the base paths. Better not keep screwing around and let them back in it
Leadoff single for Auburn in the 6th. We have Houston up in the pen. No Rigby?
Stop talking about Auburn's women's sports! Shit. Nobody gives a damn
Ripped, but right at Hump. 1 down
These announcers are dumbfounded by the shift...
Good double play to get out of it. Pilk doing an excellent job today.
End of 6. Dawgs 4-0
I was Wes johnson's toughest critic bc I thought we had more pitching talent than we were showing, but Wes has certainly started getting more out of our talent. Good job, coach Johnson
Boom! That's why, announcers!
Double play
Pilk doing work today
Beautiful work by the mif. And Pilk
Kruger grounds out sharply to 3rd. 1 down
It seems every weekend when we are on the road it never fails that the announcers go on and on about our defensive shifts and how we will be sorry we did them. Every weekend it is also a fact that the shifts work and the announcers always admit "the shift worked" or "the gamble pays off." Makes me smile every time.
I am just happy to see Pilk battling this hard today. He has had good stuff his last few outings but had a tendency to get tired and not be able to go more then 3 or 4 innings. It is a good sign that he is starting to be able to push through that barrier. If we can get at least 5-6 good innings from him on a consistent basis the rest of the season, that would be big for us.
This announcer is reaching for something good to say about AU. That ball to Lowe was low and outside.
Oppo, Gavin...OPPO
Ha, unless it's in your eyes inner half, then yank it Gavin
Let's finish em here
