Well, say what you want about the catching, But Maddox is straight nasty… if we can figure out how to catch and block instead of trying to backhand, would have been a different story….. two passballs for scores and a dropped can o corn at short which scored a run. That is 3 off the top right there. Just not sharp
These announcers, lol. Wtf guys.
I mean we could switch over and watch us get prison bitched in basketball again. *****
That is a product of the way kids are taught how to receive and frame pitches. They know longer catch but snap at the pitch to help pitchers with frames
Damn Oak needs to bench our leadoff for staring at a strike
Don't you agreeeeeee peaches peaches peeeeeaches?
Way to watch it Frei
Usm has one hit with risp and have 7 runs. Jeez
Can we just assume the lead off guy is going to be an out and skip to the #2 hitter? And if so, we need to move Reese to the 3 hole. This is going to be a more disappointing loss than UCLA because Och sucks as their late innings pitcher and State couldn?t hit the guy!
Catching definitely has more swag than it did in my day. I like it.
Mfing Gehrig watching a pitch, instead of being in defensive mode!!!! **** me!!!
Walking the lead off guy in bottom of 8th down by a run always ends well! Damn! Especially when he is the 9 hole batter.
Trying not to overreact...but I do wonder if keeping Parker will be a regret for us. So far I haven't loved a lot of our pitching choices, outside of the starters. Am I crazy?
We are going to have to deal with Camden Clark in the 9th.
7 walks by MSU pitching tonight!!! Throw stiles mfer……make them earn in it!
don't worry. even if webb holds here and we take the lead in the 9th. billingsley know the assignment and is warm and ready
It is pretty simple the one leg down doesn’t work for a sweeping or downward motion pitch. Fastball or a cutter that method works well. However if you call those wipeout pitches to Maddox, you should not rely on that type of stance for receiving. The catcher calls the pitch he KNOWS where and how it supposed to be located. I have a lot of grace for players but that second one should have been caught especially after the hitter prior.
He almost whiffed another one. We need a catcher. BAD.
it's gone be a wide zone in the ninth if we make it there
Reese-Sully-Stallman. Let's get it.
