If I tell a team hey pick me on day 2 and I'm yours, no team is going to pick him in the earlier rounds. Why waste the pick when you can apparently get him for super cheap at the end of day 2 if he's guaranteeing he's gonna come?
Several points in general, slot values are just that slot. Doesn't mean you have to get that. You can get higher or lower depending on leverage and how much the clubs have saved elsewhere. Secondly, remember, college isn't for everyone. Again not specifically talking about anyone, but if said player doesn't like school why not sign?? It's his dream to be a big leaguer. 25000 is still a lot of money just not life changing forever type. I get it.Quote:

So we lost Woods, McCants, and Bruns today. One can't hit showcase HS pitching at the moment, One was always a fake recruit with no ties to MSU, and another needs 3+ years of A ball. This means we lost nothing today for 2022 competitiveness.
Sucks for Rowdey and Niko Kavadas of Notre Dame, not being drafted. Maybe Niko needs to transfer to MSU. He seems to hit the ball well at DNF. He could win us a back-to-back SEC POY.
