I gotta agree w/you here coach........For $2.9 MM year much is expected.......We shall see what transpires but he's struck out early on some big names........People can say what they want and spin it any way they like but you would think he could pull his own players and so far he's struck out on two of the bigger names on their roster, that's just a fact.........
It's a big miss if we don't get Becker or Ford. There's zero way to spin it. Becker more than Ford because Becker is a position of need and might actually make it to campus. I'm not all that worried about Ford. He will sign a big league contract no matter who gets his commitment.
It's like I said when his salary was released, there's no excuses. We're paying you damn near 3 million a year and giving you around 3.5 to work with between rev share and NIL. There are ZERO EXCUSES.Quote:

I can see there being some UVA guys that don't necessarily want to move to MS period. It has nothing to do directly with Starkville. Just a very big change in culture especially for the UVA guys from the Northeast. Becker is the real miss if we dont get him because he is not draft eligible and plays one of our 2 positions of need. I don't think anyone is mad that he's kept the pieces we have or that we've pulled a few of the UVA pieces. I think there's always going to be consternation when you know you need pieces and you haven't yet gotten the pieces. The facts are that we need a 1B, SS, C, and at least 2-3 arms. Now they do still have time to get those pieces so it's not a massive concern on June 17th. Now if we're still missing those same pieces on July 7th then we may have an issue. And look, fair or not, we have a HC making 2.9 million with a NIL/rev share warchest of 3 million+. When you're paying and donating like that, people want results and they aren't too patient about it.Quote:
