Not sure if there is any current relevant info to be posted on the big 4 recruits but I sure would appreciate an update from some of the insiders on this board. Losing AJ would be a punch in the gut.
Hankerson may be a take at WR since Farrar is probably Sooner bound. That juco from Cali isn't visiting either. Did Javon Wims from Hinds CC elect to stay at Georgia. Anyone know? Because right now it looks like it's going to be Couch, and one of Charles or Hankerson for WR's in this class.
Mullen is going to Georgia tomorrow morning for his in home with Derrick Brown and then someone else afterwards, I believe.
And Turnier isn't taking a midweek to Indiana if I remember correctly.
Thought I saw somewhere AJ was coming Wednesday or Thursday. If Mullen is in GA tomorrow, maybe AJ comes Thursday. Hope Mullen is not wasting his time in GA only to let one our locals get away. Or trying to think positively, maybe AJ told Mullen don't worry bout me and go get some more players for our class!!!
He is still scheduled for Oregon State and we are tied with them according to him. We have also made a big push for Moon, don't know if it will be enough though. Sent most or all of the coaches to Kobe tonight. Figure nearly everyone except maybe Gonzo (going to Farrar) for Simmons on Thur.
Pisses me off about Oklahoma coming in after Farrar. Saban pisses me off too. I hate that mother****er.
Well it looks like recruiting may be the thing that does Mullen in.
Not to be to pessimistic here, but to sum up the last few days:
-Zarrar appears to be bound to flip, after receiving an offer just a week ago, after we have been recruiting him all year.
-Brown canceling his OV. Everyone says he's just "enjoying the process" and "our coaches feel good about him". Then why would we even set up an OV in the middle of the week to begin with?
-D. Brown appears to be leaving the state of Georgia but going to Auburn. I would have understood him staying in-state but if he decided to leave, there is no reason we shouldn't be his first choice with BOTH of his parents attending State. What does Auburn offer that we can't? and I can't really think it's $. His family doesn't seem like they would do that so it has to be their coaches.
-Who knows w/ Simmons. But usually when OM writers feel good about him, and State people say "to close to call/no one knows", it usually means he's gone.
-Knott, a in-state kid, would rather be drug along by Bama and be 2nd choice, rather be a top player at State.
-Davis - who knows. but re-committed to bama and has an OV there this weekend.
In the end, it all could end up okay, but right now - things are looking bad, especially coming off a two-year span like we have. Idk if we just targeting the wrong players or what this year, or if we just can't recruit, but things aren't look up. On top of that, our in-state rival appears to be one of the go-to schools this year. They have 15 players rated higher on the composite than our 2nd best player. Yes - I am very jealous of OM's #Network and No - I don't believe anything will ever happen.
I just am not worried about AJ. No inside info or anything, but no kid is going to eliminate their hometown school before signing day by way of canceling an official visit. These events that transpire between now and signing day have very little useful information you can draw from. Just gotta wait til signing day.
