Which is why recruiting at such an elite level is so impressive

So if you get out of state commits you are definitely cheating... guess we're cheating then, as we're doing good out of state.
Do some programs cheat like crazy? of course. But some programs just have good recruiters. Oklahoma has a lot to offer so I'm not going to jump to cheating.
The best high schools in DFW are on the North side. From North Dallas OU is only 2.5 hours away. Texas is 3+ hours away and A&M is 3 hours away.
Other than TCU and Baylor, OU is closer to Dallas than their competitors.
Imagine the Hattiesburg having 6+ million people and we praised LSU for recruiting it well.
Pretty much, but still not. On 2017 roster according to cfbstats.com, they have 38 players from Texas of the 111 listed (35%). Big number for sure, but there are a ton of states there including Canada. Obviously they can only have 85 scholarships, so a bunch are walkons
Coach Huff and John Emery Jr., a good prior relationship. That has a good ring to it..................... But these northern coaches can't recruit in the South, especially in LSU's stomping ground.*** .......If we can get Emery and Ealy. BOOM!!!
Under current NCAA guidelines/rules an athlete can be an amateur (college football) in one sport and professional ( minor league baseball) in another, and still receive a scholarship to play football. It doesn't happen much, but Russell Wilson is one example where it did. THe school and the athlete would have to agree on it, but it is a possibility.
Everyone who signs 4 and 5 star players cheats. Most of the time the money is pretty even on all sides and no one gets their panties in a wad. Then you have schools like Ole Miss that under normal circumstances would not get a look from out of state 5 stars so they just throw out a shit ton of cash and piss everyone off. That causes them to end up getting a 5 year ncaa investigation because they are too stupid to realize that recruiting a top 5 class to Ole Miss made up of mostly highly rated OOS kids after a 6 win season is a bit too obvious.
This. Just flip him and worry about the rest later.
Honestly though, I wouldn't be shocked if he signed with Bama so that he could have maximum leverage in the draft and his signing bonus.
The real question is: if Ealy has a great Summer in baseball, will Bama even want to use one of their 25 signing spots on him?
Javorrius selmon gets an offer today. 4* CB I think.
