I think Prep school is the best option. The positive about him committing early is now he can get on the best plan possible to get him to Starkville as quickly as possible. Who knows though Bc Marquiss Spencer was in the same boat concerning age & he was able to work hard & get out with his correct class. If Brown puts his head down he can spend the next 2 years getting things in order.
So now that Paul is crystal balling Jaden Walley to the good guys, somebody give me the skinny on him.
Plays QB for D'Iberville, but will be a WR or CB at the next level. Good athlete with legit offers from us, Auburn, and OM. Getting him would also be big bc his younger brother, Justin, will be a good player in the 2021 class. If Paul is CB'ing him to us, then that's a great sign bc he's usually pretty conservative with those.
Jaden played travel baseball a couple years for me. Great athlete, great ball skills, fine young man, kinda quiet and a hard worker who hustles. I have no doubt if he focused on baseball he would've been an elite center fielder. We're getting a quality player and quality person
in the back of my mind I've been concerned with how many MS HS kids we are taking knowing that this wasn't considered a great class to begin with. I'm still skeptical of some of them, but went back and looked and we have hit on about 67% of our in-state HS signees turning into starting caliber players that are productive. I went back and looked at 2011-2016 and we were really successful at finding guys that could develop.
Thought I'd share in case that concern had run through anyone else's mind
The reason why this class wasn't considered great was because it was coming behind the best class on paper in MS history. This class lacks the headliners of years past but the depth is 1 of the best in recent memory. So far the state has 26 P5 commits with 4 of the top 20 players still available. Add 13 more G5 commits already. This class will have between 50-60 P5/G5 signees.
Thats impressive for sure
Montra Edwards decommits from Missouri. Lists us in his Top 6.
How sure is he an OM lean? I was told he may have to go juco regardless. Info?
IYOK, I know we probably arent taking another RB in this class but if it gets down to it would we offer Kenyatta Harrell? He is better than Murphy and Walker right now
Just looking at our commitment list, but I'm reminded how criminal it is that Janari Dean is only a mid-level 3 star. I've seen him play in person, and he's special, but even if you don't believe me, look at his offer list. Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arky, OM... This kid should be rated a 90+ 4 star.

What is the latest on LB recruiting? Depth Chart is light at best.
Walker has not finished an on-line or correspondence course yet, that's holding him up.
Walker doesn’t matter. He’s not going to help us either way.
Thanks. I knew he broke one in the last scrimmage.
We've been 1 spot behind OM for about a month, and now we're 1 spot ahead. Did some of ours get a bump up or did some of theirs get a bump down?
Does anyone know how many Jucos we intend to sign in this class? We have 10 committed, which for me is just too many, unless they are can't miss Montez Sweat type guys.
I like when we sign around 4-6 JUCO guys, any more than that and things can get sideways in a hurry.
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.
