Coming around that we may pull Mingo?

what position will Philip Short play in college? no reason to think it won't be QB, just don't know anything about him.
He'll be a QB. Saw him in a 7-on-7 recently and he has the tools and he has a great offensive coach. Long way to go to be a SEC guy though, IMO. It's on him to develop. The resources are there.

Taking anyone that they can get over about an .86 or so rating to stay in the top 15 right now and about to be passed by about 10 programs. According to opinion on a Nafoom thread, they will drop several or tell them to look at other options if UNM can get higher ranked players closer to signing days, especially out of these 7 OT's. Great PR/recruiting strategy. All about image/ranking right now.
The thing that's crazy to me though is they are at 22 and if Ealy flips or goes pro in baseball and Black flips then they are at 20. And the limit is at 25- which I think is less for them because of their sanctions. It's pretty obvious that they are going to have to drop people but with a bad year I can't see a lot of guys jumping into their boat so they'll probably drop like a rock and the two guys holding their class up are probably going to be gone. As it is they aren't even ahead of us.
With Gray committing to Michigan, who would we pursue should Emery not commit to state?
I just don’t see us getting emery.
I’m with preacher. If Georgia comes a callin, that’s hard to turn down.
Emery is fine.
Wouldnt be shocked if he pulled the trigger this weekend as originally planned.
In the FWIW department...on 247 Sports he announced pushing his announcement back, and got several crystal balls to us. I'd say there was some confusion but it still looks like we are his #1 choice.
No idea. Dude is an absolute beast in size. Hope the short yardage light bulb turns on for him this year.
He has said from the beginning of his recruitment that he wants to be the guy. I think now he understands having a 1, 2 punch is the best scenario for himself and team. At Georgia he'd be the 4th or 5th guy in the stable. Unless Bama misses on Trey Sanders I like our chances.
