I grew up with ties going to the runner. It seems in recent years that philosophy has changed and it is ALWAYS the defense that is given the benefit of the doubt. I haven't seen the runner given the benefit of the doubt in years.
Stovall was safe btw guys if in fact tie goes to the runner.
Their defense is a million times better than ours, and knows how to use the turf.
