But we're used to playing Auburn this year. Can't say that for the other teams that have played so far. Of course, Auburn is used to playing us too.

First two innings we’ve gotten a man to 3rd. Got him at 30+ pitches. Not gonna strike everyone out. The bats will come. Only first time through the lineup.

We keeping pulling the damn outside breaking pitch and rolling it.. Got to do better.

man, everyone pitches Gilbert away b/c they know he has a hard time with plate coverage. Stands too far away from the plate.

And call me a bad fan if you want, but I've been around long enough to know that the MSU teams that accomplish the most, especially in post season, are the ones we expect the least out of.

If we don't start thinking up the middle and away, we will ground out to Holland all damn night.

Yep. Gilbert just tried to pull the 1st pitch 5 inches off the outside of the plate. Poke that into right, we score with Mangum.

#1) messageboard posters not respecting an opponent affects nothing.

#2) MSU is the least cocky fan base in the country. We are accustomed to being let down. Not sure where he pulled the "so quick to get cocky" garbage

It's so easy*

There are so many variables in baseball that anyone can beat you once. Admitting that is not being a bad fan. It's just the cold facts. The thing about a tournament is that it doesn't measure how good you are over the season. It measures how good you are over a few weekends or one game.

Finally. An early count groundout for Ethan. I love him, but striking everyone out runs your pitch count up.

Better inning for the pitch count.

But on 1-2 he had set him up nicely for a breaking ball for strike 3. The fact that Julian hit it out tells you a breaking ball there would have struck him out.
