Tell me man, exactly how many living grads do we have? Ok, I was just reading your posts. So let me see if I have this straight, you are fine with cheating as long as you aren't personally connected with it. Is that correct?

This is awesome. We win by 25+ and we are arguing who should be able to support this team over an announcer crew. Holman is playing balls to the wall. Carter has made us forget missing Nick and Lamar is gaining the confidence to make this team special. I hope that they ignore us against UT and even more so in the NCAA tournament. Change the narrative by winning and let’s scare the big money schools because that’s what the network is selling. It’s all about UT vs Kentucky. Win and tomorrow and that narrative changes

Yeah, I just made a comment about how we were playing perhaps our best game in 10 years and ANDY KENNEDY and crew were talking about anything BUT that. Andy Kennedy does not like MSU, and it's not because he coached at Ole Miss. that stems from back in my day. If I posted it was day and 61 was laying out in the Sun, he would swear it was dark. His beef with me stems from elsewhere.

Being fine with something and not giving a shit are two totally different things. Again other people's lives are their choices and I don't bother myself with their good or bad decisions made. It's their life to live their choices to live with. Because someone made a poor decision it in no way has any reflection on my life and the choices I made in it i.e. working towards achieving a degree from MSU.

I never noticed the announcers because I was happy with how we were playing. Again if we win tomorrow the narrative changes. The SEC network is trying to make money. UT vs Kentucky is a viewer bonanza. They are trying to sell outside of Mississippi. I’m cool with that. We win tomorrow and that narrative changes. Just a thought coming from a 85 State grad

61 I agree with you that is has nothing to do with your work and choices. But if you can't see how allowing blatant in your face cheating to go on without following standard academic punishment for it would impact the university, and by association your degree, we have to agree to disagree. If what we are hearing is true that is a direct challenge to the academic integrity of the University. As long as a University education and athletics are linked as we do it here in the US, that can't be allowed at all. One more time, MSU is not an athletics club or a linked academic academy ala Eurpeoan soccer. It is an educational institution. As such academic integrity is vital. This, as reported here, isn't cooying some homework.

I absolutely think cheating should be punished. I disagree with a permanent expulsion though. I think that punishment is too severe. I would punish him by a 1.5 year suspension from the team and some ethics classes/public service requirements to get back in good standing with the University.

Ok, that's your opinion. If it's as reported you can NOT let it go at that in my opinion. Doing it as he did is a DIRECT, and OVERT, challenge to the honor code. We do have one of those now you know. My son is about to graduate. He had to sign it I believe. I hadn't posted it but that's been the rumor on campus from day one, a direct and blatantly obvious violation of the honor code. The penalties for that are pretty much spelled out from what I've been told. There are a LOT of people watching this, and most aren't athletes.

If, what you say is true that he broke an honor code, it doesn't matter if you are Dak Presscot. Especially in todays world. Like you stated someone is always watching and can and will break it to the higher ups and if nothing is done, "brushed under the rug", it will be told to someone else like the authorities or the media.
